JGK177Thoroughly enjoyableI listened to your first two shows (so far). Really enjoyed hearing you and Mike talk- the best part was you both sounded like you were enjoying the conversation and it was a good balance of technical talk, nostalgia and humor! Same with Chef Lomonico.. congratulations John! You really were made to do this! Well done!

vcvvvvvvvvvvbPretty goodJJ’s a great host. Love the fact that he mixes music, business, family and politics and speaks honestly about each. That takes courage. Would love to see him interview some of the people who were on Tipper Gore’s Censorship Committee.

harditoatxInformative and entertainingThe man has lived a lifetime of music and memories. He has the gift of gab and podcasts are a great place to showcase that. Hilarious to see the Trumpy’s get bent over his position. Maybe Scott Baio will start a podcast.

TheGooshGreat PodcastExtremely entertaining to listen to. I love the podcast but I will give it 4 stars as I don’t get what possesses Jay Jay to talk about politics. It’s a bit visceral to make it so important to you to alienate half the population.

ScubarusMore About ThemThe Good: I have listened to all episodes up to Nuno and found them all entertaining. Learned a lot I did not know. I like the format and the questions. Like hearing the guest Lemmy moment. I listen to this podcast to learn things I did not know about Rock and Metal, to be entertained, and to simply just keep Rock and Roll alive in my life. It delivered on all accounts. The Bad: Sometime too much of the same JJ stories (i.e. “What’s your number,” JJ’s Lemmy moment, “turned down more times than a bedsheet….” All funny the first time but old after the fourth. Also agree with others - keep the Politics out or you will lose listeners. Lastly, turn up the volume. The sound is too quiet. Seems like JJ has picked up on some of the feedback as the Nuno episode felt less repetitive. Hope to see it get better.

NCHansenGreat show and content but...Enjoy the show. Fascinating guests so far. Just a few criticisms. Not trying to be mean spirited. #1. I am 4 shows in and have already heard Jay Jay tell the same stories multiple times. The first time was fascinating, the second time was head scratching and the third time you lost my interest in the show. For this show to keep the interest of the listener the show needs to be more about the guest and their stories less about Jay Jay and Twisted stories. #2. The recording levels in the podcast need to go up. I have to turn up my volume 6-7 clicks higher for this show than any other podcast I listen too. I keep loosing the quieter details of the guest speaker during moments of the interview. Probably has something to do with the Zoom interviews but annoying non-the-less.

Tom really I cant use just TomDee episode.Lost me with the politics and had to stop listening. Sorry.

krikow94PoliticsLiked the podcast but am tired of politics leaking in to sports and entertainment. Like sports, I was hoping this podcast would be an escape from politics. And when Dee said he didn’t give a crap about what fans thought about his political ideas...you lost me. When you admire someone, or band (Twisted Sister), and they basically say they don’t give a crap what you think...it’s disappointing. I would prefer not to know athletes or celebrities political beliefs and just enjoy their talents.

JPinnaWhy politics!?!?Having been a long time Twisted Sister fan - I was thrilled to learn that J.J. created this podcast. However, I listened to the first episode with Mike Portnoy and there were a few political statements. I then skipped ahead to Dee Snyder only to find that again we have to talk about politics. I am friends with people on both sides of the political “fence” – there’s no reason to denigrate either side because you don’t agree with them politically. On one hand – you talk about how divisive everything is and then you go about being divisive. How do you expect to bring people together? Why you have to call everybody on the other political side a racist is beyond me. You are supposedly a smart/intelligent businessman yet your brilliant move is to potentially alienate half of your audience?

Fake GeneTrashYou went political and lost me. Just wanted to hear some insider music information. Nobody cares what you think.
-
JR in ArizonaReallyI started to listen as I’m a music fan but as soon as he started on President Trump and racism he lost me.
-
csb77TrashI stopped listening because of all the misinformed political vitriol

I_am_the_intruderFalse AdvertisementThe commercial for this podcast made it seem like this guy was going to give you the ins and outs of the music business instead he just reminisces and shoots the breeze. I understand this is your first foray into podcasting but please deliver what you promised in your advertisements. I can listen to Eddie Trunk if I want to hear old guys talk about the good 'ol days.
-
Quinctilius VarusCould be better if......there was more insider info about the music business and less reminiscing. I didn’t really learn anything new of any consequence.
-
SyrinxcsIncredibly captivatingJust listened to the episode with the guitar god Rob Halford. Fantastic stuff! Looking forward to many more episodes.
