Hey Bruce! Love your show you always seem to have some great guests. The last year I’ve been in and of the hospital for a rare leukemia. So I have been a behind on my podcasts. I just wanted to let you know Jocelyn Snow explodes through the air waves. First she has a great voice and her cadence is spot on. Her enthusiasm for the sport of motorcycling is contagious. Her drive to not give up but find a new way to succeed and to achieve her passion. Fine job Bruce! Sport Glide Jim😎

I recently discovered this articulate podcast that has intelligent and diverse discussions on who we are as motorcyclists. One of the best podcasts on any topic I’ve recently found. Give a listen to “my chrome heart” with Emma Booten and you’ll be hooked to binge all episodes.

I just did a couple hundred miles after getting my bike out of storage and I realized this review is long overdue. I was recently working abroad for three years without my bike stuck in a bad and stressful job without the release valve my bike provides me. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through these amazing interviews. It really got me through a rough time.

Thank you for the awesome interview with Jocelin Snow (as well as so many others). I feel inspired after listening, and I love that you are finding riders from diverse backgrounds and skillsets to share with our community.

I dig Bruce a lot. His voice is calming and warm. I started listening to This Motorcycle Life late but I started from the beginning episodes. I tried to get through them all but the more I listen, the more frustrated I get: I’ve tried and I’ve tried even harder but I just cannot get past all of the “uhs” and “ums” that seem to populate 30% of every sentence. I wish I’d never noticed this pet peeve because except for the above mentioned gripe, it has been a great way to pass my work day. But now I notice it every time it happens and I can’t keep on track with what I’m listening to. Bruce, you’re great. Don’t change. It’s not you. It’s me. 👊

I came across this pod over a year ago and I became an immediate chain listening addict. It didn’t take long to get caught up. Then it became one of my most anticipated monthly listens. To date I recently heard the one with Miss Emma (I soo love her too & the pod she’s on). I hope you have her on again sometime. Today I started listening from the first episode again. It’s just that good. I’m sure I’ll chain listen to the end again. Bruce is a wonderful story teller and always finds interesting and knowledge guests. My husband and I really love listening to this podcast before bedtime. It’s beautifully narrated and the stories are compelling and thought provoking. The host has the gift of gab and it’s always pleasant to listen to him and his guests.

Bruce delivers episode after episode of thoughtful, beautiful, and mind provoking topics and guests. At times, moving you to tears, and at times calming my nerves where I can finally go to sleep. As an avid Motorcyclist and a Healthcare Professional, I thank you for giving me a little peace in our trying times. You saved my sanity more than once.

Great conversations around various motorcycle and motorcycle related topics. You feel like you are sitting around with friends listening to their stories.

TML is one of the best motorcycle podcasts out there imo. Bruce does his homework and it shows. Thought provoking and sometimes emotional. Always a great listen. His passion for motorcycles is obvious. Do yourself a favor and listen!

Bruce has a great voice and he interviews the most fascinating people. Going much deeper than many interviews, you’ll feel like you’ve really gotten to know his guest and become richer for the experience. This podcast will entertain you, it will inform you, it will give you much to think about. Highly, highly recommended.

What an amazing podcast. Now that I have listened to every episode, I find myself checking my phone every day just to see if another new episode is out. When there isn’t one, we’ll I just pick one I have already listened to and play it again and find more insight into the world of motorcycles. Bruce does a great job of weaving in day to day life, his guest’s experiences and the joy of riding a bike.

This is a great podcast and always has a thoughtful conversation. The host does a great job of digging deep into why we ride. He has a great collection of risings that have different personal stories. For me, what sets this podcast apart is that I hear a bit about myself in each show. As he asks questions, I sit and ponder the same thoughts. Riding is personal but we have similarities with those on the road. You will enjoy this show. Thanks and keep up the great work.

Bruce, as you’ll soon discover, is first a deep listener, and that I think is what makes him such a remarkable storyteller. His passion for people easily over powers his love of motorcycles – and he seems to love motorcycles a whole lot.

The host, Bruce, does a great job coming up with a theme to fit the guest. He puts a lot of thought into his interviews and has been able to record some great conversations (the one with Tom Harley , THE APPRENTICE, is probably the best guest so far- Harley was not only candid about old school stuff but also hilariously funny!) All in all, Rrarely will you be left wondering “how in the world did he think THIS guest (names have been omitted to protect the guilty) was entertaining?” If you love motorcycles and riding, you’ll feel right at home.

TMS isn’t just the best motorcycle podcast; it’s the best podcast. I’ve been listening since its debut and it’s only gotten better. I’d always intended to submit a review but after last week’s episode (Ep 40: The Worst that Could Happen), I just couldn’t put it off any longer. Bruce Philip is a craftsman. I’m sure his interview style would work for any number of topics but I’m so glad he chose motorcycles. Don’t expect in-depth bike news or reviews; there are plenty of other podcasts doing that, but if you want a dose of humanity with your motorcycle fix, this is just the thing.

I’ve never written a podcast review before despite most hosts pleas for them to help the algorithms…but two episodes of This Motorcycle Life and I’m compelled to do my part to get this out to audiences. This isn’t a podcast about motorcycles. This is a podcast about people. About what makes us human, and keeps us going, two wheels or otherwise. Bruce’s sensitivity to his guests couldn’t be more generous, and thoughtful questions to encourage genuine conversation and shared emotions is outstanding. His dulcet tones aren’t bad either.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for a podcast that goes beyond bike reviews and repairs. The discussion examines a multitude of reasons that form the basis of why many people ride. In depth commentary from a variety of viewpoints.

This is a great podcast with genuine discussions about riding and motorcycles.

There are lots of different motorcycle shows out there but Bruce’s approach is fresh, authentic and illuminating. Rather than gear or bike reviews or how-to content, This Motorcycle Life focuses on the why. Since every motorcyclist has his or her unique motivation for experiencing life on two wheels, the range of guests and topics is deep and fascinating. Give Bruce a listen; he just might be your next riding buddy and mentor.

Bruce is an expert. The topics have substance, the people Bruce interviews have plenty of insightful and entertaining information to share and the whole podcast is constructed in a way that is easy to listen to. I’m 20 episodes in. Anxious and excited to listen to the rest. I’ll be chomping at the bit when I reach the latest episodes and be yearning for the next. Keep up the great work Bruce.

There’s plenty of motorcycle podcasts about what and where and who’s riding, but this one’s different. This is about why we ride. I look forward to every episode. I specifically only listen to them when everything is quiet and I can really soak them in. Listen to other stuff while you’re driving or cooking or whatever. Listen to this one after the rest of the house is asleep.

Bruce is a great story teller while he pulls the story’s from the people he interviews. Always makes me feel good after I listen.

...and you will begin to understand the host’s drive to learn more about the motorcycle universe and his quest to uncover why we ride. His guests are often ordinary people who have done extraordinary things. The stories are incredible and thought provoking. Congrats on your success, Bruce. Thanks for the time and effort you put in for our entertainment.

Although I’m a loyal fan of Zach , I’m warming up to Spurg. Please continue to keep it real by being honest . Keep up the good work.

Bruce is fantastic. Well thought out, well put together, and the guests are absolutely wonderful. This is not a weekly podcast and each one is essentially a stand-alone episode. The monthly-ish release format must mean each one is gone through like you would your well-maintained cycle. Even some of my non-riding friends enjoy this show. The stories will make you laugh, you may cry (yeah, even you, Mr. Big H-D Rider), you will get lost in your own memories from time to time. There once was an ad put out by Honda that read “You meet the nicest people on a Honda.” Well, you meet the nicest stories on this podcast!

Bruce does a great job stirring yet not dominating the conversation and asking thought provoking questions. I like the diversity of topics and guests spanning a wide range of motorcycle insight. This Motorcycle Life is my favorite new podcast and I’m eating up all of the previous episodes!

Bruce is a joy to listen to; the stories he draws from his guests remind us why we became motorcyclists and stayed that way. If you only listen to one motorcycle-related podcast, This Motorcycle Life is the one they should be listening to!

I am very critical of Podcasts that lack quality, relevance, content and presentation. This is by far the best Podcast about riding I have listened to....I just wish the frequency of episodes increased. Well done !

Well time is all we have now and searching for a great pod has become my habit. I don’t subscribe to too many- 8 at last count- but this one is a keeper. I’m getting a motorcycle in the next 1-2 years. This pod is the perfect appetizer. The stories, the laughs, the real people and great q and a’s from the host are a fun listen. I’m hooked. Very cool.

As mentioned, this podcast is not about the latest and greatest tech, motoGP, etc. Each episode is a philosophical introspective into why we ride with great interviews and thoughtful questions, Even Freddie Spencer is a guest (which I won’t listen to until I read his book). Favourite episode so far, is with Melanie Cowpland. From one Torontonian to another, thanks Bruce!

As an avid rider and enthusiast, I love anything related to motorcycles. I found this podcast quite by accident, but it’s been an entertaining and informative listen, and I’ve loved every episode. Bruce and his guest have great conversations about all aspects of the motorcycling world, from different riding styles to different bikes. It’s refreshing and well worth downloading every episode to start from the beginning. This Motorcycle Life is definitely deserving of 5 stars.

Some 45 years ago I rode a Yamaha 50cc Enduro motorcycle that my sister owned in the U.K. We both rode that thing everywhere. I then moved back to the U.S. and didn’t ride for 18 years. In 2003 I bought a Triumph Speedmaster, then in 2009 a BMW F800 GS, which is my primary bike with over 65,000 miles on it. The interview with Valerie reminded me of a few things...First that I need to remember being that 16 year old on that Yamaha Enduro and how much I loved it. Second that I ride with a truly awesome group of veterans, non veterans, public servants, police officers, managers, fathers and husbands. A wide spectrum with just a love for being together and riding together. I hope that Valerie finds such a group in PA.

I’m 70 in May, and have been riding motorcycles since I was 14. I can remember dreaming of a Honda CB 160 as the ultimate goal in life! Motorcycle life has taken 40 years off my life. My new goal is being worthy of an episode of my own!

I stumbled across this podcast whilst trying to justify my decision to ride; against others concern for my safety. This podcast is filled with wonderful knowledge, insight and incredibly joyful conversations about the one thing we all love. It’s great to know there are so many others with the same passion for riding. We’re just one big crazy family.

This podcast is packed with wit and wisdom. There is nothing like hearing stories about people’s lives, and it’s even better when they are about motorcycles! I would have to say that even if you aren’t into motorcycling, I believe you’d still be captivated by the stories and themes throughout this podcast. Thanks for this podcast Bruce! Keep staying alive out there!

I highly recommend this podcast for anyone in the motorcycle world, or considering it. It is entertaining and thought-provoking. It is not “light reading” however, the interviews are quite in-depth and require more than passing attention. Kinda like riding. I came to the podcast late but have listened to them all, they are that good.

Bruce puts his words in such an amazing way as he relates motorcycling, be it through stories or his guests. I feel like TML asks us the riders the right questions that other podcasts lack, not questions about how to improve riding, or how the industry is doing; but instead more so the philosophy behind riding, like what we get out of it, why we ride, why many of us have riding in the center of our lives. And his wording of events makes the most mundane ideas of riding sound amazing. It’s an amazing podcast.

One of my favorite podcasts- being a Midwesterner, I love the way Bruce’s podcasts meditatively delve into why we ride. It’s like a slowly sipping a glass of whiskey with friends. The guests he invites on the show add color, variety and insight into the subcultures of motorcycling. Good stuff!

This is a thoughtful podcast, which is a rare treasure. I greatly appreciate every episode, even the Harley one.

It didn't take me too long to listen to each of these episodes - they are so much more than just a motorcycle podcast. Bruce has a "Casey Kasem-esque"timbre that escorts you on the magical journey that involves motorcycles, facinating stories, and an adventure that are as uniques as the people he interviews along the way. I refer to this podcast as an "intelligent" show due to Bruce's style of storytelling and thought provoking content. I hope that our paths find a common stretch of real estate someday Bruce - it would be my pleasure to buy you a cop o' joe...or a frosty barley pop if the occasion was appropriate.
