ACMerckerDaren is great. This show is a good mix of host enthusiasm, honest inquiry, insightful observation and personal experience all aided by a deep interest in learning more about the 247 Airheads ‘70-‘96 run. A self described home mechanic, Daren takes the listener on a journey of discovery where you’ll find he’s learning something just as you are in real time. You may be tempted to start at the latest episode but this listener would suggest you start at the beginning and work your way through. It’s worth it not to miss the cast of wildly interesting characters you’ll visit with over time. Both Goff and Parkhouse top my personal list but every guest has brought the goods wether it is on the technical end of the spectrum to vignettes on traversing the globe. During the course of my own listening, I’ve purchased a 247 of my own. Now I can put to good use the knowledge gained, resources discussed, and if needed, shops whose owners I have “met” through the interviews. Have fun with the rest of us as this trip unfolds.

motorjon68Inspiring!This podcast is fantastic. Daren approaches the subject of these classic bikes not as an expert, but as a seeker of knowledge. He talks directly with the experts and frankly, the stories are as good as the advice. Daren and the podcast have inspired to work on my old R80/7! Moreover, I rejoined the MOA after several years absence. I even got my old member number back. Keep up the great work!

darrinm1Great StuffGreat stuff. I have rode my 1983 R80RT since I bought it in college in 1991. I have always done my own work with help and advice from others. This podcast is one of the best sources from people who know. Keep up the great work.

reaccommodated user247 Airhead Podcast is AwesomeThis podcast is great! Host is very prepared for each guest and keeps the conversation moving at a pace that keeps the content interesting. There is lots of good information about the airhead motorcycle but you also learn about the people who created the universe around this motorcycle. Also great that I can listen to this when the kids are around.

meade247Great stuffThis is the best airhead site….(maybe the only real airhead site) it’s great to hear the historical sequence from the people who have kept these great bikes alive. You have really filled a void for all of us who love these bikes. I was wondering if there are any plans to have an episode about the short run R65 and R65ls. I know this is a “247” program and the R65 has a 248/1 engine, which is a BMW modification of the 247but, they are airheads manufactured during the same period.
