    Amazing Podcast
This is the best retro video game podcast out there. It gives me the feeling of listening to friends of mine talking about things I enjoy, even about fast food lol. Very comforting.

    Awesome show
The best compliment I can give is that listening to the episodes has become so comforting to me over the past few months. I really look forward to starting episodes on my way in to work. I feel like these guys are friends even if they don’t know it. When I get through the backlog I’ll be re listening through them. All three guys are great but Billy is really something else

    Awesome show, awesome guys!!
If you’re into retro gaming and an all around laid back person who loves to laugh while reminiscing about the games you grew up playing, there’s nothing better!! You’ll feel right at home with these cats. They don’t take themselves too seriously, but are hugely knowledgeable about the games they cover. Subscribe to their Patreon they’re super connectable and great!!

    Really good!
If you’re into retro gaming, give this a shot. They are laid back but know what they are talking about. Would be fun to have a cup of coffee with these guys and talk games. Give this show a listen!

Thank you! Hope for even more to come
Thanks for dedicating your show to such iconic and fun games of the past. I enjoy the lack of elitism in the communication style of the podcasters. Easy to jump into.

    The best
People at work say I have a good attitude, and it’s because I’m laughing listening to these dudes
  • Layzee Jane
    Genuine enthusiasm, chill vibes!
These dudes are just chatting games, and having a great time. Energy is great, friendship makes conversations natural. They can get into game design details, but tend to keep things high level and focused on what makes games fun, which is welcome. Looking forward to more. Great show!

    Probably the best!
I went looking for a different retro gaming podcast after becoming disillusioned with the rather stuffy, increasingly condescending, incessantly political podcast I used to listen to. These guys are the answer. They’re fun, funny, and just freaking talk about video games. Who knew that was the answer to a good VIDEO GAME podcast?! Great work!

Chicken soup for the retro gaming soul
This is my favorite retro gaming podcast, and I’ve checked out several. These guys are entertaining and do a great job reviewing retro games.

    Really great so far
I found this podcast looking for Killer Instinct for snes and saw these guys did an episode. Their format is really great, they’re on topic but really candid and kind of free form but mixed with similar experiences I’ve had playing these games.

Fun and thorough retro gaming podcast!
I love reliving my childhood for about an hour as these guys remind me what frustrated me with some games I could not figure out as a kid or that I was playing with rose-colored lenses.

    It's ok
Like the show well enough, but they (Mostly Billy) make fun of the Genesis too much. Having found the Genesis well after the fact and growing up as a SNES kid, I found the library to be much more adult oriented than its contemporary. Im also convinced they emulate the Genesis because one of their favorite things is to make fun of the music. If they played on the original hardware it wouldn’t sound nearly as “farty” it’s equivalent to saying the Saturn is “glitchy” when your playing on a Emulator, of course it is. I’m not a Sega kid by any means but to hear them constantly bash a system that was so far ahead of the curve, and stuck around as a contender as long as it did is frustrating. Younger people listening will assume wrongly its a bad system with terrible games. Bash on the 32x, T16, 3do,Jaguar all you want, but leave the Genesis alone. Ps: Billy likes Mansion of Hidden Souls so probably Don’t listen to anything he has to say. He likely was kicked in the head by a horse or something similar in his youth.

    a fun listen
i'm not a big podcast guy, but i enjoy this one. it's basically three middle aged guys talking about video games. none of them are hardcore geeks, none of them are extraordinarily knowledgeable; they come across as typical male gamers in their 30s-40s. the earlier episodes began with a cool chiptune-flavored theme song; this has been replaced in the latest episodes with a terrible, incoherent punk song with lots of random game titles yelled out. a bit annoying to sit thru every episode. the main host, jeremy p, presents the show like a young child doing his best impression of a radio DJ for his parents. a former video game store employee (he sure sounds like all the ones i've met), he has a chubby tongue and talks way too fast, causing him to frequently trip over his words. he also seems to take pride in being an ignoramus when it comes to video game history, and frequently mispronounces game titles and character names. still, he keeps the show moving at a brisk pace and maintains a cheerful demeanor. jeremy g, also known as old man grumpus, is the second host and he does seem to know his onions when he chimes into the conversation. unfortunately, his tone is frequently sour and he usually has few positive things to say about the game being discussed. ultimately, his contribution to the show is inconsequential. billy is the third host and does not appear on every episode. unlike the other hosts, his speaking manner is charming and easygoing. his southern drawl is peppered with self-deprecating humor and droll anecdotes from his past (indeed, he is the only of the three who is actually funny). his opinions are insightful and his judgment towards the game under discussion is usually spot on. his contribution is definitely the main draw of this podcast and is ultimately what makes it entertaining. together, these three do a good job painting a picture of three typical American adult male gamers in a way that other podcasts and shows don't. i say it's worth a listen--just skip the episodes without billy.

    Always a good time
An enjoyable roundtable discussion on an off the road retro game of the week without trying to go out of their way to be wacky and over the top like every other show tries to do.

    Great gaming podcast
These guys are awesome. Scratches that nostalgia itch I’m always feeling. Great insight on great games!

    More please!
These guys make a great team. Some of these games I’ve never even heard of...yet I want to experience them after being entertained by this podcast. Keep the good stuff coming.

    A Great retro gaming cast
Just picked up on this show not too long ago and going through the backlog. The three hosts are very easy to listen to, and really do seem to enjoy what they are listening to. I hope to get caught up soon. Thanks again guys for a great podcast.

    Great walk down memory lane
Really enjoy remembering some of the older games that I grew up on. These guys have been playing games for a long time and have very good insight on classic games and some less popular video games. Definitely worth checking out. I enjoyed the Mario RPG episode in particular. Well done!!
  • BonusMouse
    Looking forward to future episodes.
An excellent show about retro games. After listening to one episode it became apparent that these guys grew up playing many of these games and that they are passionate about them as well. I grew up playing the same games and I can appreciate their perspective. After listening to several other episodes I found the hosts to be good-natured, their discussion's keen, and at times they are a little self-deprecating. All of which is endearing. I value the fact that they stay on topic, It shows a respect for the listener's time, and I admire that. It's a good show that hits it's mark, with no BS. I look forward to future episodes.

    Good Game Reviews
The reviews are short and sweet, if not the most informed. Personally, I disagree with 2/3s of the cast 90% of the time, as they all seem Hypercritical more often than not. In spite of this, or perhaps because of, you end up with a rather enjoyable experience.

    I love JP
This podcast is the best and I love when JP eats the groceries. He's just the best. The other guys are okay too, I guess.
  • Burmart77
A good way to remember old games, but...
It's a good way to remember old games, but I really miss the guy JP from the first episode. What ever happened to him?
  • Robert HHHH!
    Been loving it!
I've heard all 4 of the podcasts so far and I'm loving them! Keep it up guys!

    Nice!
    Great podcast for retro games.

    Amazing
I loved listening to this. Just leaning back in my chair and listening to this while I play games was great! The only thing you guys should try is instead of Skype try TeamSpeak. Congrats on your first episode!
