KnitterIntheUSKeen insights, great chemistry, professional-grade productionExcellent perspectives on games and the industry. It’s especially fun when they disagree, I appreciate they can respect each other while still fighting their corner. Love the deep dives, love the squirrel-distracted tangents.

EternalGamer2Very low effort as of late.It painted me to write this as I’ve been following these guys since day, one on waypoint. The show has really gone downhill in the last year. There doesn’t seem to be much effort among the crew and making sure they have something substantial to talk about week a week. And a lot of the podcast seems to be made up of a filler conversation. They seem to stretch the segment out just to extend a time. Sometimes one of them (usually Rob) will go on for 10 or 15 minutes with no one else even talking. Other times. How they’re making jokes in a live chat while they podcasting. One case in point is that they literally took four episodes just to go through their favorite games of last year, games that many of them didn’t even finish, or in some cases barely even played. And yet it was three episodes of content somehow. I listen to a lot of video game podcast for my commute and exercising while walking the dog etc. This one has sunk to the bottom of my list because on a week to week basis they don’t seem to put much effort planning to show further listeners, unlike pretty much every other gaming podcast I listen to. I really can’t imagine a listener finding much of use here. And I imagine a lot of the Legacy listeners find it pretty unsubstantial as well. Hope they can turn things around.

Purple squared toe duckGood stuffIt’s good to know that despite all the self righteous political talk, and anti capitalism sentimentalities, there is still room for ugly Naziism and antisemitism in this podcast.
-
yanananananananananafive star runtimes!Excellent in-depth podcast covering up-and-coming games, indie game news, game labor news, and more. While the podcasts are long, i’m happy for this! love the show!

GogocactusmanToo longEnjoyed the show for a while but the episode lengths stayed growing and growing to the point where casually listening through an episode will take several days for multi hour episodes. Some of the tangents the hosts go on end up lasting so long that the podcast ends up feeling unfocused to a point where I feel like my time is being wasted.

Reido50Love the ShowSuper in-depth and empathetic look at the news and discourse happening in the video game industry. Wanna shout out I love how the time stamps are formatted in the most recent ep with Jacob Geller.

ToebangMore then a gameSuch a fulfilling show to listen and follow. Truly one of the best video game podcasts. Its even better when they aren’t talking about video games

SikapwachBusiness GeniusesEvery week these folks are to explain the problems and accompanying solutions to every business in the video game industry. It’s all they talk about. It’s strange that they chooses to continue to make podcasts since their aptitudes lie in business and according to them if they took their business strategies to game companies they’d be saving hundreds of jobs.

draaaaavenLove these guysI’ve been a listener since the waypoint days and they continue to deliver.

DrRorick5 Star RuntimesI’ve been following Rob, Patrick, and Cado since the beginning of the Waypoint era. Insightful and thoughtful commentary on the video game industry, while diving into the nuances and politics of video games. All of this alongside the occasional conversations of old delivered burritos, Ryan Davis stories, and legends of the Lap Dog. The voices at Remap have stood the test of time, and feel more necessary than ever as the video game pile gets bigger while the precarious nature of the world they’re made in becomes more and more unstable. Remap is an unyielding camp fire in dark times.

Jamd1skThe podcast that helps you beat the souls games 2Listening to Waypoint Radio single-handedly led me through every souls boss of every souls game and now you can look forward to DOMINATING the challenges Miyazaki sends our way in the Elden Ring DLC with Remap Radio!!!! Rob needs to get out of his Condo. Patrick needs a new Roof! Cado is cool and never brings their at home troubles onto the pod, but I’m sure they could use some kind of upgrade to their living situation. LETS GIVE IT TO THEM!

HAHAYEAHOKTHE ONLY VIDEO GAME POD THAT MATTERSSICK OF HEARING THE SAME BLAND THOUGHTS ABOUT THE SAME VIDEO GAMES ON EVERY VIDEO GAME POD?? LOOKING FOR SOMETHING REFRESHING FROM FOLKS WITH ORIGINAL AND WELL-THOUGHT OUT IDEAS?? REMAP RADIO IS HERE FOR YOU.

VennyVenLooking for good video game discussion? It’s not here. Here’s yet another tedious podcast of dudes droning on about monotonous nonsense, often with NOTHING to do with gaming. Example? The latest episode showcase the dudes going on and on about Taylor Swift’s latest boyfriend. SIXTEEN MINUTES of boyfriend talk. Then a bit of gaming talk, but quickly another nonsense sidetrack ensues, this time all about Tom Clancy novels, Boomers, and endless details about Jack Ryan’s universe. If you enjoy podcasts with mindless non-gaming babble, this is it!

HernandezFamilyAn amazing time consistentlyWhat the tittle says , it’s as simple as that

zipzapp22Always fantasticNo matter the crew, guests, topics, always a treat to listen to. I don’t even pay attention to sports but I’ll listen to them talk about sports for hours and really that goes for most other topics as well.

This Is My Work PhoneFCGHStill the best gaming journalism out there. But now no Vice! Wahoo! They still got it. Same great takes, same great anger at capitalism, and same great question bucket debates. Perfectly paired with a morning coffee and commute. Alternatively: weekend chores and slay the spire.

rc_robotclawGood to be backI was a Waypoint listener for years. Then everything got weird and I fell off. Now that we’re returning to office work (hooray?) I went to find podcasts for my commute and look what we have here: Some of my favorite voices still offering down-to-earth, honest discussion about video games, media, and the sorry decline of our quality of life under late stage capitalism! It’s great to hear all these folks again. Those hours on the highway will fly by.
-
AddessoLifetime listenerI’ve come to the realization that these folks can talk about absolutely anything, and I’d tune in to listen. Video games, media industry, labor issues, prestige tv, sports, hi-fi stereos, home remodels, Jackson Bones, and the HOA. They should never worry about trying some new format or subject, because it all ends up working! Check out A More Civilized Age and Friends at the Table also!

ChrisR28Awesome Crew & ContentReally grateful this team chose to make their own after Waypoint. Fan of Patrick for many years since GB. He is thoughtful and honest and entertaining. Rob is great. Introduced to him via my favorite F1 podcast. He has a wonderful way of sharing stories and his feelings. Cado and Renata were new to me from Waypoint and they are fantastic. Cado obviously knows a lot and has awesome enthusiasm. Huge crush on Renata. She is glorious. Love her blunt emotional takes and her passion and intelligence in gaming and otherwise. Nice mix of content and guests and vibes. This team has tons of experience in journalism and gaming and media and they have great respect for each other and listeners. My favorite podcast right now. I supported them as soon as I could. Highly recommend.

xupahdupahThe Best "Video Games" PodcastA new podcast with a long history. They claim to be a video games podcast, but that's besides the point. It's three funny, interesting people bringing a fresh perspective to games, stoves, sports, and much more. FCGH.

nathangsmThe Empire of Executive FunctionI was so morose after A Minute to Midnight that I tuned out for the the last month—I just couldn’t. Now I’m a Founding Member of this new Empire of Executive Function, and I can’t wait to get ALL of The Things done! And by “all of the things”, I mean catch up on this short backlog of episodes, with one one the scant few podcasts that I listen to at a mere 1.5x (instead of my typical 3x with silences removed—on Overcast, a real podcasting app).
-
TrunkOfUlulelesYeah, it’s a personality focused podcast, but one not even Vice couldn’t kill. The legacy is strong from the video game vertical, from the media empire formerly known as Vice Media. While they don’t have quite as academically focused navel gazing as the initial offering, the trio of Ricardo, Rob and Patrick (with Renata and Natalie when they are not off producing games) are a great distillation of the personality and love that made the Waypoint community so strong they managed to drag Vice into a DTC model, well past the point it could have helped. Somehow they managed to keep the wheels running on that model to start this fledgling empire. The point being if you like a thoughtful yet completely unhinged time, this is a great place to listen in. From a not at all strange Michael Mann obsessed series, to maybe slightly drawn out looks back at pivotal video game series - there is something for just about everyone as long as you don’t mind opening yourself to the odd Chicago Bears football fever dream. All with twice as long a runtime as needed, but half as much as you want. #FCGH
