Just no shame breaking up the handful of moments the host is actually on a roll as a solo podcaster with ad break after ad break. May as well read the transcript as often as I need my phone in hand to skip through the countless ad breaks. Barstool podcasts have all gone to this model, and it’s a nauseatingly bad model for the listener (but they’ll quadruple down as they need the ads to pay their bloated staff pool of useless “entertainers” outside of the podcast realm)

Mark has found an ideal landing spot at Barstool and it’s a joy to see him thrive there. He is the most fun source for college basketball content anywhere and his passion for the lore and tradition of the sport is infectious. Ohio’s Tate, however, is grating and obnoxious. Extremely arrogant, constantly interrupting, and just generally a guy who knows less about college basketball than 90% of the show’s listeners. I hope Mark either converts this back into a solo show with rotating guests or fills the second chair with someone who at least has a somewhat pleasant personality. Please, please listen to the fans on this one.

Made it half way through this most recent episode before remembering why I unsubscribed a while back. That ‘chickenhead’ ad break is still the most annoying thing on any podcast I can think of. Solid content, but will not listen again due to that.

Titus isn’t good without someone like Tate. Sad!

Been following Titus since OSP, but I’m listening less and less these days with off brand Tate on every show. He doesn’t play well off of Titus or bring out the things that make him entertaining. The old format of rotating characters was way better. There are tons of ball knowers out there that would be far far better than off brand Tate. Sad times.

Love the show and Titus is my favorite sports personality of All-Time. Tate just frustrates me a lot which I hate to say and be negative. Would love to see some rotating guests because I know Titus isn’t a talk into the void guy

Titus gets it

I’m really not a fan of Ohios Tate. He has made the show hard to listen to and I have been a subscriber to mark since the T and T days. I really liked the first iteration of the pod where he would give solo takes and then do interviews. Tate as a guest every once in would be totally fine but now that it’s every episode I’m out.

Why is there all the garbage and links in the episode description instead of actual time stamps?

I don’t leave reviews, but I’d rather listen to Mark without Titus and someone needs to see that. No idea why, Tate just literally ruins Mark’s vibe for me.

Used to love this show, but Tate has made it unbearable to listen to. He tries to cut in consistently and is not entertaining in the slightest.

Have been listening to this shot since the t's up days. Titus is awesome. Tate is a pretty big blow hard. Detracts from the show pretty hard by being a run of the mill barstool hot take provided.

In October of 2012 Kevin Love got drunk, punched a wall and broke his hand. Schwartz spins it as knuckle pushups, and then has Woj do a hit piece with Love trashing Wolves to change the narrative. To this day that is how fans remember it. What is the name of the bar? In a 30 team competitive league, wouldn't agents, and gm's use of media to influence the market be illegal?

Fake Tate has ruined this show. I’m done.

Ad audio is so loud and the boys are WAY too quiet..makes for a tough listen at times. Work on that audio mix and you got gold!

Enjoyed listening to Titus right before moved to Barstool. Having Ohio Tate on is great too. Enjoying the new dynamic.

I love Mark & the show. I listened to last night’s podcast and the ads were at such uneven volumes I turned it off. Every ad was significantly louder than the actual pod. Please fix. Usually I skip all ads but if I’m listening away from phone I just go thru them. Also, less Jake. Who cares if he had to wait for traffic. Good lord.

Show is good until he can’t help himself and goes off on a political tangent. I listened for a while but I don’t want/ need politics in sports. I’m sure he was one of the guys that told Lebron to shut up and dribble, especially because he’s a hardcore conservative. The last draw was when he said there was “blood all over the White House because Biden’s dog is biting everyone.” Starts good but ends up as a clown podcast.

Please get the levels of the show and ads equalized. Dang near blow my ear drums out when ads play bc I have the show turned up bc Mark talks so low. Also need to start getting shows out on a consistent time.

Would’ve been a 5 star review but I’m sick of hearing KFC say “what’s up chicken heads” 2 times every episode. Please just get someone else to do the ad intros.

Love this show. Will follow Titus to the ends of the earth. TJ adds a ton of value. But PLEASE lower the volume of the ads. I’m going to have KFC screaming “WHATS UP CHICKEN HEADS” in my nightmares pretty soon. Please please please figure this out

Love Titus. Followed him for a few years now. Content is still just as good as years before but good lord can we do something about the audio on commercials? It’s at minimum twice as loud as the show.

Mark is awesome but my goodness stop yelling “WHATS UP chicken heads” for every ad break it is killing me.

This is a great listen if you’re a college hoops fan. Although after listening for a month I think Dalton Knechet may be Michael Jordan?

Overall content is good but commercial interruptions are beyond obnoxious. They snap in at 30 decibels louder than the content with a “hey chickenheads!” intro that couldn’t be more listener unfriendly if you had tried. Can’t enjoy the podcast because I’m always waiting for the always disruptive commercials - and I know they’re necessary from a business standpoint but it can be done better.

Love the podcast, but way too much Rico Bosco. Most people can only tolerate a little Rico. TJ, the next time Mark suggests to have Rico on the podcast, tase him. If he suggests it again, tase him again and recommend to Mark to go into his contacts and get someone else on, perhaps Jon Rothstein. If he suggests it again, tase him again and tell him to get into a car and drive to one of the many D1 universities within a 3 hour drive of Chicago and he can interview the coach or the best player (or even better, drive over to the BTN HQ in Chicago and interview one of their many analysts). If he dares mention Bosco again, tase him a 4th time, and recommend that he drive down Chicago State and have a wonderfully awkward interview with their coach. Easy listening to and from work. Good conversation with unique sets of guests

Love all the shows. Only quibble with this one is the meta talk about numbers and how well the show is performing. I get that this is a Barstool thing but it’s inside baseball and not all that interesting to listen to. Also weird vibes about how people talk about Dave Portnoy. Dude seems like a petty tyrant.
