Message diluted on account of frequent and disruptive sponsor content
Excessive amount of disruptive sponsor messages ! I understand that you have to pay the bills and earn a buck but this is so overboard, so much more than any other podcasts, and just off putting. Not to mention that it makes me question how genuine Mel’s mission is for this podcast.

    Let the guests talk
Your listeners aren’t as stupid as you seem to think and we don’t need everything to be dumbed down or compared to you or your kids to make the topic ‘relatable’. Stop with your fake epiphanies/revelations every episode too. Your guests are so wonderful and have so much information that gets drowned out by your constant yapping. It’s seriously so annoying. My whole walk with my dog all I heard was Mel talking over the guest I wanted to listen to.

    Went Downhill
I loved the first year. The experts were amazing but then Mel started getting celebrities instead (Chrissy Teigen) who were self involved with no real topic knowledge. I miss the helpful experts!

    Wanted to like this….
Listened to 2 episodes. Wow, MR has a long windup - is there a purpose to this approach. And she seems to self-promote so much.

    Thank you!
Mel Robbins Podcast is so real! Thank you for sharing these insightful episodes are changing so many lives.

    Don’t waste your time
MR is leaping into complex, current topics (trauma, PTSD, relationships, etc.) without knowledge or expertise with arrogance and ego. She’s dangerous. Do your own work. And, know that Let Them was a viral movement long before her book, for which she won’t even acknowledge the poet she’s plagiarized.

This is for spiritual gangsters! 🫶🏼
I feel like I know Mel when I listen to her podcasts, I’m not a podcast kind of gal and realized I could start being a podcast gal. The calm my inner child feels is real. Mel, keep doing what you’re doing. For those who feel like they need to redirect their mental health journey, starting here is great! I’m a psychotherapist and can tell you, therapy alone, is not enough for change. It’s what you feed your mind on a daily basis, mentally and physically. It’s what you do OUTSIDE of therapy that counts. Love this podcast!

Great conversation w Dr Jim Doty
The discussion w Jim Doty on the science of manifesting was great. Heartfelt and touching as well as grounded in science. Can’t wait to learn more.

A lot of people are saying
I’m reading a lot of these reviews, and noticing a similarity to what I feel with this pod - “I love Mel, but…”. I like these podcasts. I download most of them. But sometimes Mel can be a bit polarizing and the experts she brings on definitely do not paint the entirety of the issues they discuss. In particular, a lot of the eating and body related ones are not for an audience other than Mel, or someone with a body similar to Mel and a body / food experience similar to Mel. It would be cool if she could try and feature a larger array of perspectives. That said, I like a lot of the mental health related ones. The other issue is her new obsession with telling us to “share the episode”. It feels super manipulative, since she literally knows shares have grown her show it feels like she’s doubling down on “forcing us to share”. Mel, I will share your episode if I want to and I know how. Please try to just tell us once. 3-4 times is getting weird.

Booking Charlemagne as “an expert” and stating you are “a huge fan” lol ok lady. He has so many accusations against him and is a chronic misogynist. But sure.

    Plagerism
Mel’s advice comes off as simplistic and inauthentic. More importantly the ideas are not hers. “Let them” theory came from Cassie Phillips. Please google her and learn about the real person behind the “theory”.

    Boasting and interrupting
So much boasting it makes me feel the host is insincere. Unfollow the show.

It would be better if Mel wasn’t constantly trying to take over the conversation
Love the interesting and diverse guests she brings onto the show but Mel needs to remember that the guests are the experts. I get that she may want to relate to or repeat back what’s been said to make sure the audience understands what the guest is saying but there’s a way to do that while letting the guest finish their thoughts. It is bad podcasting when two people are talking over each other and I’m tuning in because I’m more interested in what the invited guest has to say, not Mel. The solo episodes are great for Mel to talk through her personal thoughts.
  • Be you not them
    be nice
My mom listen to Mel Robbins and she like it and I like it too you know what a part of luring something is to ask question because when you don’t get something you ask question until you get it so you guys can shut up and be nice and if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all Mell Robbins keep being you and don’t let these hater get you down because you are doing a amazing job. Oh and one more thing I would like for you guys to try doing her job and see how you like it if people were saying theses things to you I bet you won’t like it so back off and mind your own .

    Infomercial
I don’t get why this podcaster person is so popular. I listened to one episode and she sounds like an infomercial host. I couldn’t take it. Cheesy.

    Say less
53 minutes 40% through still intro and fluff. Literally say less If you’re an expert you don’t need to work this hard to prove it to us. Show don’t tell.

    Truly a Life Saver
I really don’t have the words to express the way I feel about Mel Robbins…. This amazing human, who hangs out with me in my AirPods every week….feels like a friend I’ve known for my entire life. I’ve always been such a bright, spunky person, but the last two years have just been a really hard time for me as a wife, mother, friend, and teacher. I started listening to this amazing podcast, and it’s been such a blessing, and just what my soul needed. Then….I listened to “The Let Them Theory”, and it completely blew my mind and shifted my perspective. I was crying right along with her on that closing sentence….partly because I wasn’t ready for it to end, but mostly because I felt like this weight was lifted and I finally felt like I had what I needed to take control of my life again. Let me….get my life back. 🩷 I’m not sure if you even read these, but….Thank you, Mel. You are truly a gift to so so many.

    Congrats on being #1!
Whereas other podcasters slip into a lot of self-serving conversation, you consistently steer to “the person listening” and reinforce practical best practices for living a better life. Your leading with humility makes your audience recognize that it’s not only okay to be fallible, but also wise to admit when you’re mistaken and grow from it.
  • TinGonzo
    Please… Stop interrupting
First, I love the guests and the topics that are covered on this podcast . You cover a variety of topics that are so interesting and beneficial, especially to women. But my small ask is to please stop interrupting your guests. I understand that you want the conversations to be more of an interaction than a lecture, but there are so many times that something is being discussed and it resonates with me, and I’m hanging onto my seat to learn more, and then they never get back to answering what I really wanted to learn after being interrupted by a personal antedote of your own.

    Built on lies
If you love this podcast then you need to be aware of Cassie Phillips and how Mel flat out stole “Let Them” from her. I’m sure there are great messages and guests here but I can’t listen to someone who isn’t honest.
  • Lanaleaf
    Lots of words….
It has been 15 minutes into the podcast and the author was nowhere near the topic of the conversation. It’s very irritating. Why can’t you just talk about what it says on the title?

    Too obnoxious to finish
This podcast link was sent to me by a weight watcher member. I have never heard of Mel Robbins and never listened to any of these podcasts. I was excited because I enjoy fitness and health topics. This podcaster was so obnoxious with talking over the guest and dumbing down what the guest was saying, and acting as if it was the first time she’s ever heard half the stuff the guest was saying. Saying things like “wait, sets and reps? Tell me what that is. I’ve never heard those terms”. Give me a break. I also found the frequent use of phrases like “women are gaslighted to think we have to be skinny”, “women always just think that they have to be skinny”, to be overkill. And then, all the talk about men and bro-science, and her “stupid husband”. “My husband always says that abs are built in the kitchen. Does that mean I have to starve myself?” Just stupid comments all the way through. Will not be listening anymore. I found the guest very interesting, but the host needs to shut up and let her talk!

    Mary Claire
Listening to the Mary Claire Haver interview and Mel interrupts way too much. It was very annoying. I wanted to hear the valuable information Mary Claire was sharing as I am in menopause and need this information. Please let your guests do more of the talking. Otherwise I’m am so thankful you did this podcast on menopause.

    Amazing Real Life Podcast
Five Stars plus! Thank you for exposing yourself and your family to help others with real life situations for celebrations and dilemmas; no matter what chapter your life is playing; you seems to address it just at the right time!

    Let the speaker talk more
I love the subject matter, but Mel just talks too much. We were 14 minutes in before her guest actually got to start talking about anything of substance, and then there were constant interruptions and reiterations by Mel, when the guest, who is the professional on the subject, could’ve had much more airtime and it would’ve been much more interesting.

    WAS—-The BEST podcast!!
***editing as of 03/28/25 Mel, my original review is below. I fell in love with this podcast and listened every single day on my ride to work. I bought your book. But something felt off about the whole thing. Then I found out about Cassie Phillips. I was so so so sad to learn what you did. PLEASE speak up, take accountability, take responsibility, and make this wrong RIGHT. I can’t even listen to any of your stuff anymore because it feels wrong to do so. I thought so highly of you. You need to address this and do the right thing. My review will go from a 5 to a 1 until then. What you did with the “Let Them Theory” was simple—-not right. I am so grateful I found this podcast. It is something I look forward to listening on my way to work every week. Great advice and amazing conversations. A wonderful self growth podcast with your friend Mel. Thanks Mel for all you do to bring this informations to all our ears!! Amazing!!!!!

    More confused than ever
Mel First thank you for all the knowledge and insight you share. I’ve been a listener for years and find such value in your thoughts and opinions and your guest expertise. Most recently I am more confused then ever. I love Dr Pelz episode and explaining the benefits to f fasting and how it differs from woman then I listened to the most recent and with DR Sims and says eat breakfast and don’t fast. Just when I thought I had a handle on this for my 57 year old self I’m more Confused than ever.

    Used to love this show
Now it feels like every week a new “expert” has a program, supplement, book, or affiliated service to “fix” middle aged women. It all just adds to the stress and confusion women feel at this age.

    Good content, bad delivery
I listen to this podcast because the topics appeal to me. My issue, though, is how the podcast is delivered. First of all, Mel repeats things so much throughout each episode. So many of her episodes are an hour or more in length, but if she were to cut down on the long random stories, and reduce how much she repeats herself, they would be more digestible, probably 25 to 30 minutes. As an example, I usually fast forward through the first 7-8 minutes of each podcast because she reiterates and repeats multiple times what the podcast is about to be about, and meanwhile I’m literally just waiting for the actual content to start. My other big issue with Mel is when she is interviewing a guest, she asks really stupid questions — questions I feel like, as someone in the health and wellness space, she should already know the answer to. So either she’s asking those questions to play dumb and provoke a conversation/explanation with the interviewee to help her audience, or she really is that uninformed and that concerns me. I get frustrated, listening to all her stupid questions and her “wow” and “ah ha” moments. But the fact that she said “kettleballs” instead of “kettlebells” kind of shows that she really doesn’t know what she’s talking about in the health and wellness space. Oh and for anyone who listened to the episode about the owl a while ago?.. WHAT. WAS. THAT. Even listening to it on 2x speed, that was a huge waste of my time. Time I’ll never get back…

    Life changing
Every single episode has something to reflect on. I appreciate your interviews, how relatable you are, and you taking the time to find relevant topics and information as we all go through this life. It feels like the ultimate village of support and I love that! Thanks for all your hard work.

Great Book but Podcast was a little Disappointing
Good content and information. Enjoyed Mel’s book but was disappointed with the profanity in the podcast. Can’t listen to it when kids are around.

    Soooo much blathering on
I wanted to check out this podcast based on other feedback. I listened to the 4 Easy Night Time Habits for Better Sleep. The points were fine. Pretty obvious but good reminders. Mel Robbins unfortunately does her listeners a disservice by yammering on and on. And not even interesting - in one case describing a greasy pan left in the sink or a messy toilet for 5 minutes. We get it!!!! I fast forwarded thru most of it and during the greasy pan in the sink discussion decided to just turn it off. It was good for a nap though so I guess maybe I am getting better sleep. Seriously though, this should have been a 10 minute podcast. Otherwise the podcaster is just pandering to advertisers.

Great info but one cringy thing
All was well until you said our bodies were “designed” for movement, and then finally the clincher, the pseudoscientific notion of intelligent design was invoked. I thought this information was supposed to be based on science! The idea that you are trying to convey, that our bodies need movement to stay healthy, is good. Better to say the human body evolved to need movement to survive and thrive.

    Repetitive
I listened to a recent podcast about consistent bedtimes and it started out so strong I turned it on for my husband to listen to as well. 30+ minutes in, we were laughing and honestly over it because she just was saying the same thing over and over and over. Talking about picking a good bed time 9 hours before you want your next day to start - and then proceeding to give example after example after example of what that means. “Want to wake up at 6:00 am? That would mean rewind the clock 9 hours so your bedtime would actually be 9:00 pm! If you don’t wake up until 8:30 am, this is crazy, your bedtime would be 9 hours before that, so you would want to be in bed at 11:30 pm” and so on and so on. She talks about how busy we are — but our evenings will not be spent listening to someone who take 30 minutes to explain basic math. So much potential if she’d just get to the point!
  • Boomer's Human
    Real! Helpful!!
Listening to this podcast is like sitting and having a conversation with one of your most intelligent and resourceful friends. I love all of her episodes and I’m never bored. If I had one critique, it would be that Mel repeats herself too much. Sometimes I’m confused and think somehowI I rewound by 30 seconds but, nope, it’s just Mel repeating herself. Mell, brevity is the key to good communication. We hear yah the first time!
