KateJessieNew Pod +This is a very good pod by two terrific professionals in the field of criminology. I am a subscriber to their other podcast, Women and Crime, which is great, but wish that subscription carried to this one. Fast forwarding of ads works tho. To all the fragile white dudes who take issue with facts that affect us daily I suggest a little trip through a history book. You could benefit from this.

Wildfirewife2324Very interestingLook forward to each episode

B.dS7Pls, stopEditing remains terrible but we really do not care for the passive aggressive communication on trivial subjects about whether one should be taken more painting classes or not. srlsly

Jay Lee 1231DecEhhhhDr. Sacks does a great job reporting the stories, seems well researched; however, Amyyyyyy! PLEASE stop interrupting with the rhetorical questions. The majority of your questions are answered if you allow Dr. Sacks to continue the story. The interruptions make it hard to get through an episode.

CaitlynC55Campus Killings is the true crime podcast you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without.Dr. Meghan Sacks and Dr. Amy Shlosberg bring their expert criminology backgrounds to the table, breaking down some of the most chilling, tragic, and thought-provoking crimes that have happened on college campuses. Their storytelling is gripping, their research is top-notch, and their insights make you see these cases in a whole new light. One of the best things about Campus Killings is how Meghan and Amy balance hard facts with deep analysis—helping listeners understand not just what happened, but why it happened. They dive into the psychology of the perpetrators, the systemic issues surrounding campus safety, and the impact these crimes have on students, families, and communities. It’s like taking a criminology class with two of the most engaging professors ever (except no homework, just nightmares). If you’re a true crime fan who loves well-researched cases, expert insights, and hosts who are as knowledgeable as they are compelling, Campus Killings is a must-listen. Just maybe don’t listen while walking alone on campus at night—because trust me, you’ll never look at dorm hallways or lecture halls the same way again!

ams728216My new favoriteSuch an awesome collaboration. I have been a long time listener of Women and Crime and I love that the hosts use their college expertise for this new show. As with their other show, They always show so much respect for the victim ❤️
-
sleuthnyGreat showThe hosts combine great storytelling with excellent research and conclude with changes to improve college campuses. It also helps their point of view that they are both college professors.

unfrblkhottieEpisode: Robert ChampionWhy is it so hard for you guys to pronounce things correctly? It takes two seconds to find a video with the word/name being CORRECTLY PRONOUNCED by other people. It is NOT “famoo”. It’s FAMU (fam-YOU)! Good grief.
-
DDPirateGrossI was excited for the podcast at is sounded interesting. I started with the first episode on Jeanne Cleary. It’s disgusting that you basically accused the victim’s father of racism. Moreover, you spent half of the time claiming “discrimination” against him but neglected to mention that he was racist and sexist and made statements to this effect. Great job of defending the m*rderer.
-
minnie_monsterPoor showThe hosts’ voices are very difficult to listen to. Their prodosy is distracting and the show is biased overall. I’ve paid for ABJack premium subscription but the only show worth paying for is DNA ID because of that I have canceled my subscription.

CLB254Great Find! This pod is a perfect blend of crime, compassion, and academia.
-
haff713A “criminal” is someone who commits a crimeWhy do we have to treat a murderer and rapist with kid gloves and use different words so the CRIMINALS can “feel” better. As if they actually care. What’s even worse is the primary HOSTESS clearly has a condescending tone towards her co-hostess, who isn’t allowed to give her own opinion. Obviously she can’t stop being a flaming liberal teacher who needs to pound her agenda into the head of everyone else until they are fully brainwashed. Get off the air and retire back to the kitchen!
-
TajannahLove the show but...Amy needs to slow down! She talks (or reads) her cases way too fast.
-
DeacRippsNonsense explainationsIn the Yardley case they use “toxic masculinity” as an explanation of cause. The only thing toxic is your anti law enforcement bias, heterophobic bias, racism toward caucasians, anti straight…the usual far left lunacy.

3211413ExcellentI’ve been listening here as a longtime fan of Women & Crime (as well as both seasons of Direct Appeal). I loved the Jane Stanford episode so much I decided to leave a review. It was excellent, and I would love even more historical cases, though I like the balance; too many old cases wouldn’t allow for the details Amy and Meghan give with more recent cases and their trials. I love that they don’t dumb anything down in that area, and my favorite parts of their shows are when they analyze how this happened, which they are well qualified to do, unlike many other true crime podcasters. I especially like their insights on criminal theory!
-
mom5132InsightGreat insight on some tragedies I’m familiar with and some of which I have never heard. Thanks for the excellent content!

Just another mol Elizagreat showI really like the show overall, in particular they tackle legal issues pretty well. As a lawyer, former law clerk in criminal courts & general legal expert, I always hope true crime podcasts either don't talk about legal details or procedure at all or have someone to consult. This show does well, although I'll nitpick and say the host ought to teach her students four reasons for criminal penalties: incapacity, rehabilitation, deterrence, and retribution. It is often taught as only three because like to shy away from retribution but it is a perfectly valid motivation for victims, their families, and society as a whole to simply want the criminal to be punished. Also, dinging the podcast slightly because the ad-to-podcast ratio seems a little too skewed toward ads.

Cweasel621Great hosts, terrible editing.I love the doctors and enjoy their other podcasts. I pay for the premium subscription for Women & Crime because of the polish of that show. This show has weird repeats, long pauses, and other glitches that make a premium subscription hard to justify. I think Abjack does a disservice to good content with poor quality.

Stad(2)Well researched, insightful and compassionateI’ve listened to both women in crime and campus killings probably since they began. I appreciate how well researched their podcasts are every week. They don’t dramatize the crimes but provide an understanding of the crime and help educate me on the justice system. They are incredibly insightful and compassionate. You both are greatly appreciated!

Mrc5674Interesting podGreat pod and interesting topic. Just a note Matt Damon is not a graduate of Harvard, he dropped out. :)

teshsterNeed to stop with “um”Decent podcast but hard to listen with all the “in”. One of the podcasters always “umm” every few words. Its distracting and public speaking 101. Ok I listened to another episode and there was an “um” every sentence. Maybe more. ITS HORRIBLE!!!!

RijmsLove them, but…Let me say that I LOVE these hosts. Their podcast series about Melanie McGuire is one of the best ever and actually made me interested in podcasts. I was thrilled when they continued with “Women and Crime” and “Campus Killings.” However, although both started out great, I’m not sure what’s happening. Maybe they are stretched too thin? The recent “Gainesville” episode was difficult to listen to, and not because of the content. Amy sounded too scripted, and mispronounced many words, including a well-known location, which was baffling. There were long, awkward pauses (I thought my Bluetooth had turned off) and a lack of any emotion. Most of the episode was piped in by clips from another podcast. Again, I love them, and I will continue to listen to their content, but this episode, and these victims, deserved better than this.

UserUserUserUser4Upgraded my review to 5I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to listen to this pod with the irritating background music, but I was really pleased to hear just a few episodes in that in response to listener feedback they are no longer using the background music. They also started using an ad break announcement, which gives you time to hit the skip button or turn down the volume. It’s nice to see podcasters respond so quickly to listener complaints. I love Women & Crime and this feels very much like that pod, just not specifically focused on women. With the removal of the music, this may be a binge podcast for me now.

PW from GRLove the doctors, but…Unnatural scripting prevents the easy and interesting interaction that makes Amy and Meghan so great to listen to.
-
madeline r sListenable but barelyI love Amy and Meghan but seriously, what is this. The editing (or lack thereof) is SO painful and makes it so hard to follow. Please fix this issue. Worst than a low budget horror film.
-
Mets228Obvious reading and commentingNarrator is painfully reading, making no effort to make it sound natural. Second person is making comments or asking obviously prepared questions, and the narrator has prepared reactions to the questions and comments being made. Unlistenable.
-
EfbncLove Megan and AmyI could listen to these two talk about criminology for days. I love Women and Crime and Direct Appeal. I listen to Campus Killings mainly to get my fix but this show is a bit of a miss for me. I like the way the two of them interact in the other shows, this one feels like all of that is edited out. Also my BIGGEST complaint is the Apjack (?) intro where the woman (not Amy or Megan) says “ You are listening to 😃CAMPUS KILLINGS!😃” why is she so chipper about the murder subject matter? She sounds so happy. I have almost unsubscribed 3x after hearing her stupid intro. Please have that re-recorded.
-
mrsimms13<3I have the biggest girl crush on the hosts and listen to every podcast they have out. Why does this one feel so different though? I feel like they’re not as personable/ talkative in this show. I love hearing them interact and this has so much less of that.
-
ShayflakesNoI was interested in the story about Lauren McCluskey, but the reading isn’t fluid and is quite difficult to sit through. I learned through the comments that there’s also a copilot with painful commentary. I wouldn’t be able to sit through that either.

IAMPBB77Love the hosts, the show is mehI still listen because I love Meghan and Amy but this show doesn’t do them justice. It seems like they barely like each other, when fans of theirs know that’s not true. But the worst thing (beside the weird ads) is the editing, most recent (Lauren McCluskey episode) is a perfect example. The ad at the beginning was playing over Amy’s introduction for about 15-20 seconds. Very sloppy editing and it ruins the experience and may be why it seems like Meghan and Amy dislike one another. Bummer cause I really respect these two and find them to do this work at an exceptional level. Just listened to the first episode of the 2nd season and the editing issues are still there.
-
Staceyb2NahBetween the narrator being very obvious about trying to make it sound less like reading from the script, and the unnecessary cohost asking planted/prepared questions and comments, I can’t do it. “Were you a soap opera person Amy?” Ummm… I agree with others on the ads, it’s just not a good listening experience. Thanks though!
-
Kgillespie4192Great perspectiveLove these ladies and listening to their opinions.
-
Berticus Maximus 2.0Almost GreatI’m really a fan of the subject of this podcast being unique to schools etc. the only criticism I can offer is the format of one narrator and a nagging copilot is not the best. Usually the comment from the copilot is answered in the next minute, it’s like watching a movie with a person that keeps asking questions. Otherwise I love it!
-
MichelleyyyyyyyyyAnother great podcast with Amy&Meghan!I’m a big fan of Direct Appeal and a Patron of Women and Crime. I’ll take all the Meghan and Amy I can get! I have a little secret for all the reviewers here, too… fast forward through the ads!
-
LSD122070SadThis could be an amazing podcast IF you weren’t too lazy to have interviews. If I want someone to read to me I’ll get an audio book
-
katiebreen123Seems like a Cash GrabI really enjoy these two on Women and Crime. It’s an excellent show. I highly recommend. But, I do wonder why there have to be so many True Crime spin-offs if not for the ad cash! There is nothing new here. Old, tired stories repackaged. Every episode is one that I have heard on other TC podcasts multiple times. What’s the point?
-
splitting 6'sLess talking in the beginingThe show is just ok. I wish it was less talking in the beginning and they would get straight to the case
-
A Bookworm's ConfessionMehI hate the ads as everyone has mentioned. They’re terrible. But I also hate that the banter gets cut. It’s so choppy without the back and forth of Amy and Megan.
-
captbutterTheir voicesAre so bad, I can’t get through an episode.
-
zxclandjsme skMehI absolutely love their other podcasts but this one I check out so early in all the episodes. And I was so excited for them to have another one.
-
SoapStar12Great Show LadiesGreat show love it just as much as Women in Crime! Reasonable fans know that ads are apart of the show, don’t like ads pay for a subscription that’s how it works!
-
CoCoJaRoGive it a shot!I am a Women and Crime listener, so it seemed natural to come here and listen to this podcast as well. The insight that Meghan and Amy have on each case is amazing. There are a few tech glitches, but the show in itself is top notch. I’ll listen to anything these 2 create.
-
TuehsjueuhwacLove Amy & Megan. HATE the adsI absolutely adore Amy & Megan’s critical analysis of cases and how this show in particular looks at cases I have never heard of before. However, like other reviewers I can’t stand the terrible ads that frequently interrupt their great work with MLM spam as if this was daytime TV. It makes the show seem fake and over-produced. Sometimes it sounds like Amy has a figurative gun to her doing this show unlike Women & Crime or Direct Appeal. I hope you both aren’t in some terrible contract to produce this show because that’s what it feels like. I hate to leave anything but a 5 star review because the content is so good, but please change the ad structure!
-
LflvmdbfoNeeds more research and compassionIn the beginning I loved this show however, after listening to the Katie Autry episode in which the hosts start victim blaming I just can’t listen anymore. No one deserves to be killed. having lived in the town where it occurred, there is a large amount of information that is missing from the episode which makes me wonder how much information is missing from other episodes.
-
Gnvdylfdr58932866Great just needs more of the Docs.I love this podcast and women and crime BUT I absolutely cannot stand the ads read by actors and the outro voice that sounds like a fake smile…ugh! Let Amy & Megan say all that stuff, get rid of the ridiculous beach body pyramid scheme ads and this will be a 5 star show.
-
itwasntmesir45Ads ads ads!!This podcast is yet another true crime show riddled with bad opinions and bias. I can't think of a worse combo than teachers at universities and true crime. This was hard to listen to. Waaaay too many ads!!!!
-
bingeybeckyBonus 1/9/23 InaccurateLong since debunked that blood was dripping down the foundation of the Idaho house—stains are not blood. Fact check needed!
-
Only Sane FloridianTheir voicesAre awful.
-
Wild Dratinistop the corny background musicI love the hosts but the background music takes away from the seriousness of the topics. Also ads are extremely loud and abrupt and also take away from the mood of the and seriousness of stories.
