Confused- is this The Box of Oddities? Kat regularly comments on this podcast even more than the “guest host” Lindsay. It feels like Lindsay is the guest not an actual host even tho it’s billed to be hosted by JG and Lindsay. I get it, Kat is helping with the podcast. But I’m not a fan of her commentary and switched to this podcast to avoid it. No such luck. There are two hosts here- JG and Kat with Lindsay as the guest. Just have Lindsay guest host occasionally on The Box of Oddities and call it a day. Basically turning into The Box of Oddities. Could be so much better if done more professionally.

I just love these guys. They find the best stories of people who are SO DUMB. It’s the most delicious “I’m better than you” listening. You owe it to yourself for the laughs.

I love the show and there’s just something so comforting about hearing about the idiocy of others. It gives me a definite ego boost to know that I am not the biggest idiot out there! And also, the chemistry of the hosts and their relentless harassment of each other makes me feel like they’re part of the family because it’s often the way that my brothers and I communicate towards each other as well! My only wish is that it wasn’t just once a week, because I could honestly listen to them every morning on my commute!!!

I liked podcast “The Box of Oddities” with Jethro and Kat, but I like this show even better. The hosts have great chemistry and compliment each other. The stories are presented in a great way and the stories of misadventure by stupidity are so great. It’s really fun to listen. I’m working my through the back catalog. Keep it up guys!

I’ve been listening to BOO since 2018, so five years in feels like Kat & JG are closer than blood since their voices are always in my ear bits. I have loved Lyndsay’s voice as the Curator since day one but like any addict it just left me wanting more and more until The Shallow End. One day I’m gonna have to seek child support for all the babies that those vocal cords have planted in my pelvis. Listen to everything they put out! I’m so proud at how big these podcasts became, you guys have brought smiles and laughter to days that NEVER would’ve had either otherwise. Love y’all so much and thank you for sharing your lives with us!

I came here from the box of oddities which is a great podcast; you should listen to it sometime. Anyways! I absolutely love this podcast! It’s funny and makes me feel better about my silly life choices. The banter and dark humor is a plus. I love it when Kat joins in on the topic. She is such a witty kitty! My only suggestion (or rather plead) is to make the shows longer! 30-45 minutes is just teasing my ear holes. Either way keep up the great work guys and thank you for making me look like I enjoy doing my job a little too much.

As a true crime junkie, I’ve made it my motto “You never want to hear Lester Holt say your name on Dateline…” After listening to all episodes of The Shallow End, especially the last two “Toilet Self Execution Guy and Homemade Weather Balloon Gondolier”, I know it would be so much worse more humiliating to hear that coming from Lindsay or Jethro. Thanks all for reminding me that I am SO NOT the least sensible tool in the shed!

I love The Box of Oddities, and this is a great branch off. Just as funny, if not potentially funnier, since the focus is more on “how hilarious are these terrible ideas” and less on interesting oddities. I love both podcasts’ approaches and am happy to have more content and a little more variety with The Shallow End’s approach. ❤️❤️❤️ BTW the 1 star reviewer complaining about Kat clearly has some personal issues they need to work out because Kat is awesome!

I only listened to the first episode and loved it. I can’t wait to listen to the rest. I think everyone should listen to it…we’ll they said to just make something up…so I did…and this was the best I could come up with on short notice. But really everyone should listen to it for a good laugh at someone else’s expense 🤣😂🤣

The guys are funny, they pick some good stories. Decent chemistry.. why does Kat have to but in and start yapping to ruin everything. She already ruined one pretty good podcast, why can’t she do her own thing for once?

I used to listen to the Darwin awards and this is so much better! I love the stories, the banter, the ridiculously funny commercial spoofs, all of it. These people…….I love them. They are smart (with the razor sharp wit and sense of humor that comes there with). Their sources are reliable. The delivery is perfection. But, you know what I treasure the most about this podcast? The voices! These are people who know how to produce good sounds when they speak. Thank you, all three (and Nan), for this wonderful thing you do.
