    Organic & refreshing
What an absolute gem this podcast is. I spent many Summers in Salem during my childhood. I love learning new information about my beloved Summer town.

    Great podcast and great hosts!
Listened to the first episode (brief intro to the Salem witch trials) and learned more in that episode than I ever knew before! The hosts seem really nice, knowledgeable, have good chemistry, and audio sounds great! New subscriber here :)

    I love Salem The Podcast!
I started listening after our trip to Salem. We had the best tour guide, Sarah! I’m just getting started, but I absolutely love the podcast! Very informative and I love the interviews.

    Love the pod!
I found this podcast just now and have binge listening since! Jeff and Sarah are awesome! I love the diversity in their episodes. I have learned a lot about the city currently and the history of so many things, not just the trials. I can’t wait to visit one day!

Fascinating even without a trip planned
I found the podcast long after my first trip to Salem, and haven’t yet made it back. That said - the fascinating history, human stories, and fun tone keep me coming back to the show. Truly, a great addition for my walks, runs, drives, or escapism during laundry.

    Amazing Podcast
I love this podcast. Not only is it really informative, but the hosts are amazing and funny. I love getting to hear about Salem, one of my favorite places, but the hosts really make the show. I’ve learned a lot from this show, but it’s always fun at the same time.

    Very Helpful!
At the time of writing this review, I am in school and working on an NHD project for the Salem Witch Trials. Im not great with remembering read information, but this podcast was very helpful with giving information I could remember! Their voices have a good amount of calmness and fun in their tones, and they definitely give lots of information about the 1692 witch hunts, and surrounding information I could find no where else. Thank you so much for this podcast!

    Listen to this podcast!
We took Sarah’s tour in October of 2023, and my sister and I started listening to the podcast once we got home. Not only did we LOVE Sarah on tour, we couldn’t wait for more, making the podcast perfect for us. We have GREATLY ENJOYED learning all about Salem and so much more than just the Witch Trials (but still about the witch trials!) through the podcast. I love listening to it while I drive or while I am working. It’s a fun way to enjoy history, and it makes me want to go back to Salem!

    All things Salem
My husband and I recently took Sarah’s tour in Salem (in October 2023). She mentioned this podcast and I just started listening - so far pretty good. We only spent one day in Salem as part of our trip and now wish we’d spent more time there - lots of good info about the Witch Trials and beyond. Both hosts have pleasant voices.

    My favorite podcast!
Sarah and Jeff are wonderful! I’ve learned so much about Salem, and listening has helped us plan our upcoming trip. I love the variety of topics that are covered, and the interviews are amazing!

    Thoroughly Enjoyable
I have listened to this podcast for a year and a half, and still look forward to each new episode every Tuesday morning. Sarah and Jeffrey are masters of their craft. Not only do they seem to know anything and everything about Salem's 400 year history, but they are naturally gifted podcasters. Mix friendly banter and well-researched history, throw in a dash of spooky local lore, and top with great guests and whacky tour time stories that only the iconic city of Salem can provide, and you've got a recipe for a classic show. Just visited Salem for the first time this year and took a tour with Sarah, and it was amazing. 10/10 would recommend. It was great seeing all the sites and names that I had heard so much about.

    So much great information
For 15 years, I have traveled to Salem every year, sometimes twice, so I know much of the lore and the stories of the accused. All if it still fascinates me, which is why I always return. The hosts of this podcast are clearly knowledgeable of Salem and the surrounding area’s history. What I like most about “Salem the podcast” are the episodes about the people, the area events, and the business that are there now. It is a fabulous little town, and the hosts do a great job highlighting it!!

Everything to know about Salem in one place!
The hosts Jeffrey and Sarah are so knowledgeable on everything Salem. I’m really enjoying learning about the history and also all of the best things to do and see in town. Thanks to this podcast I will be the “know it all” in my group when we visit Salem next week!

    Salem has so much
Heading to Salem for a trip with my cousins in Oct 2023 and began searching for more information about the witch trials. This podcast is a goldmine not just for the history of the trials but all things Salem. My only problem now is there is so much to see and do. I may need additional trips. It is clear Sarah and Jeff know their history and their town..the good the bad and the ugly. They are great to listen to and offer great insight!!

    Great pod!!
Just found out about your pod from LA Beadles of the Unsinkable Pod fame. Just listened to number 1. The information is well researched and very informative. What’s really cool is that my wife is a relative of one of the witches and is also a history buff like me. What’s really cool is she is a relative of a witch and I’m a relative of Margaret Brown.

    Lovely
Excellent, well-researched, top notch pod. What great pod comfort food!

My husband and I will be going to Salem in October 2024 for my birthday. I love all of the recommendations for shops, restaurants and the history. It’s going to make me appreciate my trip so much more! I hope to take a tour with one of you while I’m there!🎃💀😊

Salem the Pod PLUS The Fame = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I found your podcast from your FB promo for the Cap’n Mike episode. I was not disappointed. My wife and I have been on the Fame several times and we’ve been coming to Salem / The Cape for over 20 years. Looking forward to catching up on other episodes. 👍👍

We’re here for the 10 am tour?
Toured with Sarah recently, and thank goodness she plugged this podcast at the very end. She mentioned we hadn’t even scratched the surface of the town’s history on our hours-long walking tour, so I’m glad to have the chance to dive deep from the other side of the county. 13 out of 13 witch hats for the pod + Sarah’s tours🪄👻🎩👒🧢🎓

    My ancestors town!
I was really excited to find your podcast about Salem, I spend a good amount of time in the car and listening to you both tell the stories of where my family came from makes my ride something to look forward to! Richard Ingersoll was my 9th great-grandfather which makes Nathaniel Ingersoll my 8th great-grand uncle I visit Salem every year and can’t wait to take both of your tours! See you soon!

    Gladstone High School
Hello, I’m from Gladstone Oregon. The “east coast trip” has been a tradition of our High School as long as I can remember. When I went back in the mid 90’s Salem was my very favorite stop. Such a cool place. I’m glad to hear our students are still going on the trip and I’m excited to hear they were a cool group to host. Thank you for all you do. PS. We’re a public school;)

Visiting Salem? You Must Listen to this Podcast
I have been to Salem, Massachusetts too many times to count. This podcast is a must if you plan on visiting the quant, historic seaport. Rich in history, and lore. Through this podcast, I have discovered events, and exhibits I didn’t know were there. The hosts of this podcast are easy to listen to, give a professional presentation, and are knowledgeable.

Both the podcast and town. The hosts are well versed in the history of the town and I also enjoy their banter

    Intriguing!!
I started listening to Salem the Podcast a year ago! I planned my first trip Halloween of 2022 and I learned so much about the history of the town before I went through listening! It helped me appreciate the trip so much more!! BONUS we had the pleasure of having Sarah as our tour guide! She is amazing and so passionate when telling the stores! I will be back in June and will continue to tune in. Love listening to you guys!!

    Great Podcast!
I listened to the podcast because we are visiting in May. It was very fun to listen to and I have learned so much about Salem history. I’m even more excited to visit now!

    Absolute HIT!
Love these guys and I love their love for Salem! They are so great about doing their research for each topic. I love that they cover so many bases of Salem rather than just the witch trials! I listen in every week!

    Listening from the start
This podcast is so informative and fun! It’s hard to keep history interesting and fun but Sarah and Jeffery do it every week! I am now a Patreon member and have a trip booked to Salem in 2023! If you even are slightly interested in the witch travels or New England history this podcast on!

    Best Podcast for Salem!
I found your podcast a month ago after deciding I will visit the summer of 2023. I was intrigued about the witch stuff but soon found out the rich history of Salem! Thank you so much for this podcast. I will book yours with you and now, I must go and listen a second time to all the episodes 🧙🏻

Thank you thank you thank you
I’ve been listening to Salem the Podcast for about a month or so now. I’ve learned more from Sarah and Jeffrey than I did in any history class I took in high school and undergrad. I have been interested in the witch trials, the pop culture aspect of Salem, witches, and old historic port cities (as it reminds me of my own hometown: Wilmington, NC) for as long as I can remember. I am so grateful for Salem the Podcast, it brings so much joy and I can’t wait to plan my first visit.

Our trip to Salem would not have been the same without this podcast
I’m so grateful I binged this podcast for weeks leading up to our trip to Salem. Not only did I learn so much information about the witch trials which made my trip much more meaningful, I also learned a lot of “insider information” and suggestions of what to do and where to go that you would only get from a local. If you are going to Salem definitely take Sarah‘s walking tour. Her voice is as lovely in person (if not more lovely!) as it is on the podcast.

    Magical Mastery!
A glimpse of Salem through an unfiltered, inclusive and thoughtful perspective. This podcast pays homage to history by shining it’s light on stories that matter-some of familiarity, some more obscure. While holding the past close, the podcast also showcases the rich beauty of the witch city as it is today, through its landscapes, it’s offerings and it’s people. As a listener, you will feel transported to times gone by and steeped in the sensations of the modern day to day experience. With each episode, the magic of Salem will find its way to your heart.

    Everything About Salem
I love how this podcast touches on every aspect of Salem. I adore history, so diving in to Salem’s beginnings, the trials, the historical figures…all wonderful. But how the hosts present Salem today…ah, makes me want to come back! The art scene, the markets, the awesome people! All the little places we missed on the first trip because all we focused on were the trials. I’m making a list of places to check out on my next visit. What comes across more than anything is how much the hosts love their town (the good, the bad, and the weird) and want to share that with anyone who wants to listen. Thank you so much for this podcast!!!

    One of my favorite podcasts!
First of all, I just wanted to say I really enjoy this podcast because I am such a huge fan of the city. I have been visiting every year for the last 10 years except when the pandemic was going, strong, and travel was not allowed, but I have never been to Salem during the month of October for very good reason. When I visit, I love to visit in the spring time or in the early summer, I pray for this, I am not a big crowd person. It’s extremely easy to get in and out of places and I prefer to do with the locals love to do Salem willows Hass to be one of my favorite places, hands-down just sitting by the water or just hiking the paths and even checking out the restaurants. We are planning to return this coming spring, and I hope I Salem is the same city that I have fallen in love with because of the people that make it so enjoyable.

From podcast listener to taking a tour
I knew I was going to be visiting Salem and wanted to learn about places to see & things to do. I stumbled upon this podcast and loved it from the first episode. My best friend and I wanted to do a walking tour & I suggested to her we take Sarah’s tour. Being able to connect the in depth history that the podcasts have to the places & brief history you get on the tour is wonderful! Sarah is as wonderful in person as she is on the podcast, if not more! Needless to say I enjoy both forms of the history lesson and i really enjoy that the podcast is about more than just the witch trials as well. Even though my trip was mainly for the witch trials & witch shops.

    ❤️ Salem the Podcast
My daughters and I live in Ohio. We visited Salem in June 2021 for three days and I definitely fell in love with the town and it’s vibe. We visited some of the places you talk about like the Charter Street Cemetery, the Memorial, statues, the wharf and the Hocus Pocus sites. We didn’t spend money on attractions or Museums, although my daughter went through the House of Seven Gables. We did eat at some great restaurants! One was Finz. Yum! Anyway…when we got back I started watching Derek Millen’s D-Tours and I’ve watched them all. In a recent episode he introduced both of you and I learned about your podcast. I have never listened to a podcast before now and I’m hooked! I had eye surgery on the 6th and had to stay facedown for a week. Your podcasts kept me sane! I may have listened to all of them. Can’t wait for more. I’ve learned so much about Salem and the surrounding area and now I want to come back and see everything I missed! Thank you both so much!!! I’m a big fan. Political and Pushy
Like the history, once y’all actually get into the show after all of your political views and pushing the tour over and over. Just stick to the facts and keep it moving!

    So much fun
I’ve been enjoying this podcast so much! I love Salem and thought I knew a lot, but every show I am surprised by something. Sarah & Jeff are fun and informative! Can’t wait to take a tour with them both 😊

    So good!!!
I absolutely LOVE this podcast. The hosts have such a great banter back and forth, which really makes it enjoyable. And as a podcast host myself, I know how difficult it can be to achieve that! Also love hearing all of the information!

    The best podcast for Salem-lovers!
We have been visiting Salem several times a year since 2014, and this podcast helps bring a little “Salem” into our life here in Northern NY. Sarah and Jeff discuss everything from the witch trials to where to find the best post-tour cocktail. Each Tuesday, I anxiously await the new episode. Thank you for this gift of a podcast! -Tyler & Todd
