I must say, I am jealous of what Mike has done. I have been obsessed with ballparks my entire life and have just about every book about them in my library. Keep up the great work!

Mike has such a humble and wonderfully curious approach to his interviews. He interviews the way a fan may ask questions if they ran into their favorite player at a bar. And, I love the wide range of guests that he finds.

He does a great job with the interviews. Many legends of the game . Wonderful memories of the stadiums of yesteryear.

I wish I had a dollar for every time I shared an episode of Lost Ballparks with a friend. Mike Koser has created one of the best, most uplifting podcasts out there & I hope he keeps it up for many years to come.

I’m relatively new to podcasts, having begun listening to a few over the last couple of years. Among those I’ve tried Lost Ballparks is without question a home run. It combines two of my favorite topics, baseball and history. And in a very real sense baseball is a microcosm of our nation’s history. Mike Koser (with whom I share a history as lifelong fans of the Cleveland Indians/Guardians) interviews not just the big names, but also the folks behind the scenes that contribute in interesting and sometimes unexpected way. It’s not unusual for me to laugh out loud to myself, nod my head in agreement, or even feel a twinge of emotion when listening to these stories. Bravo, Mike!

I discovered this podcast three years ago and have not missed an episode since. Mike Kosers is an enthusiastic and professional host who moves the interviews along while interjecting tidbits of his baseball knowledge. This is a great podcast for baseball fans - old (like me) or new who are interested in the history of the game and stadiums.

If you like baseball history at all this is the podcast for you. Lot of outstanding guests with amazing stories. Mike asks questions that you don’t normally hear in interviews. Lot of great insight into the good old days of baseball.

Love the podcast. Each is unique from not just former players but those who worked at the stadium or park. Keep up the good work!

There are so many baseball podcasts that are simply current and day-to-day, so I was excited to find this nostalgic podcast. I appreciate the trips down memory lane for the players, and the host's knowledge of parks and past events is impressive. A breath of fresh air all around!

What an amazing podcast. Mike does an incredible job finding great stories interwoven with the ballparks of yesteryear. Must listen for any baseball fan! My only wish is the interviews came out more than once a month!!

I love this podcast. The guests are rare and somewhat off the beaten path of conventional baseball history. These guys supply anecdotes you don’t see in the normal baseball literature and it serves to expertly augment one’s knowledge of baseball history. Keep up the good work!

Mike grew up about 60 miles from my hometown and we followed the same baseball team and similar timeframe….the passion he has for this topic is shown by the little things; the preparation and research he puts in when having his guests on; the audio clips he interjects into the interviews that correspond to the item being discussed. I have a great fondness for old ballparks and the relationship I had with my father and this is just a walk down the streets of yesterday. It is terrific and highly recommend it. I just recently listened to the Lost Ballparks Rocky Colavito episode, and boy, did it take me back! Rock was a favorite of mine, and to hear him and his stories was a treat. Mike Koser’s interview style and the way the podcast is setup are both outstanding! I highly recommend the Lost Ballpark series to anyone who truly loves baseball!

I have since binged the entire series and highly recommend it to any baseball fan, baseball history fan, or just casual baseball guy or girl out there. So many great guests with wonderful stories to tell....will never forget Ted Simmons hitchhiking in Michigan story - a van pulls up & gives him a lift it's Bob Seger! This podcast is a must for all baseball fans!

When I discovered this podcast, I began downloading the episodes which most interested me. But then I listened to the first one and found I didn’t want to miss ANY of them. The episodes are well produced with rich anecdotes, amazing audio clips and joyful conversations with a variety of interesting ballpark personalities. It’s a treat each time I listen. Keep up the great work!

The Lost Ballparks podcasts brings together an amazing collection of guests to share a unique set of perspectives on baseball and the great old ballparks that are no longer with us but were a big part of the game. Guests have included Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken, Jr., Reggie Jackson, Bob Costas, Jon Miller, Nancy Faust, George Toma, Janet Marie Smith and others.

Even though this podcast os in its infancy. Each of the episodes have been truly entertaining. You have The Pilots, “The Capitol Punisher” and rocking chairs. Don’t know what those are? Listen in.

Lost Ballparks is an incredibly well researched look into the history of baseball and the fascinating ballparks that set the stage for it. It’s loaded with interesting guests, whether they’re Hall of Famers or role players or groundskeepers or organists, etc. I’m so glad it’s been revived for a new season in 2024.

Even if you are not a baseball fan, you will appreciate this podcast for its storytelling. The host leads his guests down memory lane about their childhoods and their careers. He pulls out vivid memories of their first visit to an MLB ballpark and their first games. You can tell the host does his homework. In fact, Roy Firestone, renowned for his ESPN interviews, praises the host for his detailed homework. A must listen for fans of all ages.

Anyone who loves baseball should regularly listen to this podcast. Brings the best of the game to life through conversations with all involved - players, clubhouse assts, organists, announcers and others who can share info and anecdotes you don’t hear anywhere else. I never fail to be engaged and often brings a smile or a tear hearing those who many years later share their great affection for the great game of baseball.

I am so stoked that Lost Ball Parks is back! This show takes me back to fond memories of my childhood going to ball games w/ my dad @ Dodger Stadium. Beyod that, I love learning about the old ball parks and hearing the guests amazing stories, whether they be baseball legends, employees at those ball parks or fans from those days. Truly captivating! Whether you are an aficionado of the Golden Era of baseball or a modern day fan, Lost Ball Parks is a must listen!

Lost ballparks is my favorite baseball podcast. Mike has very interesting guests and does an excellent job interviewing them. Mike’s love of the game and easy going style make it fun to listen… it’s like sitting in the stands listening a neighbor and his guest tell the absolute best baseball stories.

Listened to this for the first time this holiday season with my 13 year old son on a long road trip. Loved hearing about the old stadiums, players and announcers. This is a must listen for any baseball fan. New episodes drop this coming week!

I used to get all goose bumpily and excited over baseball as a kid like you do. Then one day something happened that changed my life forever…I GREW UP! I advise you do the same.

I listen to a lot of baseball podcasts, but never knew about this one when it came up in my recommendations this morning. I’ve been listening all day long! Masterful interviews with so many of the players and characters I remember from my youth or hearing about from my Grandpa. If you love baseball and baseball history, listening to this podcast will be time well spent!

I grew up watching and listening to Cleveland Indians baseball games in the 1960s and 70s. While I still love the game, the players and ballparks of that era are the soul of my baseball love. A couple years ago I discovered the Lost Ballparks podcast and I’ve listened to every one of the podcasts. Mike does a wonderful job interviewing his guests and I particularly enjoyed the recent program with groundskeeper George Toma. I have heard of him seemingly forever but this is the first time I’ve heard him tell his stories. Keep up the good work.

Mike, I never miss a podcast of Lost Ballparks. You really hit home with me on your Reggie Jackson podcast. I too, grew up in Cleveland when I was young. I started collecting cards in ‘78 and had those Reggie cards. I also used to rush to read the PD in the morning and read the box scores as well. Andy Thornton and Buddy Bell were also my favs. Love when you reference your youth! Keep up the great job!!!

UPDATE 6/19/2023: The more I listen, the better I like this show! It’s obvious that Mike is a fan of baseball, and to be able to talk to those folks who, to me, were just athletes on the field or voices and faces on the television and radio…wow, GOTTA be as exciting for him as it is for us listeners! This is a “can’t miss” for me! UPDATED 2/28/22 More shows, more stars! I absolutely love this show! It’s definitely hitting the sweet spot for any fan of the 1950-2000 era of the game. I like that it’s not just players…broadcasters, stadium personnel (when was the last time you heard from a ballpark organist?), heck, I’m expecting a future show to feature a groundskeeper! Do NOT pass this show up! ORIGINAL REVIEW:I was ready to give this show a 5-star rating after the first episode…but thought “not just yet…maybe he’s starting off strong to GET those stars”, but then I listen to the next…and decided yeah, it’s worth EVERY star!
