jv---Thank you! Love!Great podcast. Thanks for the great information and lack of judgement. I listened to this podcast when I was Considering my relationship with wine and also now a few years later. It’s funny, light hearted, entertaining, and has good information - whether you have a “problem” or are just interested in the topic. So much interesting info.

klt7113August 5I laughed so hard during this episode. Was really good - can’t say enough good things about your podcast. Thank you guys!

Jovi and MadisonMy New FavoriteThis is my new favorite podcast. Only have listened to a few episodes in 2 days. The banter between the hosts is so natural. They are vulnerable and funny. Can’t wait to listen to every episode.

mountains_galThe flippin’ BEST sober podcastVic & Hamish are so relatable, hilarious, and inspiring! I can’t count how many times I’ve laughed out loud while listening to this stellar podcast. Their open and vulnerable conversations keep me coming back for more. Their approach makes me feel like I’m right there with them, engaged in a silly and fulfilling conversation with best friends. As someone who is 7 months alcohol free, their chats remind me that sober does NOT equal boring - these two are the opposite of boring. They inspire me to keep thriving in a fun and fabulous way (& have provided me with some welcome belly laughs to boot)! I appreciate you, Vic & Hamish! 12/10 from me.

Eilah WoodFinally some humorSo glad this exists, as an American this a refreshing break from a lot of the heavy, humorless discourse around sobriety we have here. Thank you!!!!

suzyyyyyy96Changed my thinkingLove this podcast so much. I have been listening to it for about a year on and off. Every episode resonates deeply and makes me smile and cry throughout. I am not sober but idk if it’s my goal. Listening has changed my perspective on so many things and helped me analyze my self worth and life. I feel so understood without judgement. Forever grateful.

roaryyy doryyyyyLove this podcast! This conversation has helped me to relook at my relationship with alcohol and how is tends to make me feel worse instead of better. These two are hilarious, non judgmental, informative and inspiring. I tried other podcasts but this was the one that really hit home. Keep it up!

jsl-earthFantastic!Started listening to this pod about a year ago and look forward to each new episode. Vic, Lucy, and Hamish are open, honest, and quite hilarious. They research and present various topics and have such a positive approach. Rolls off like a chat between friends and is sincere and without judgement. I’m so grateful to have found this podcast and a big thank you to the three wonderful hosts. The pod has been a tremendous help to me with a emphasis of living an alcohol free life full of curiosity and joy.

anonuser04They feel like friends who give good advice, because they’ve been through it themselvesI just adore this podcast so much. There isn’t any negativity pointed towards us drinkers, but plenty pointed at the poison called alcohol. The fact that they don’t try to patronize us as listeners certainly means a lot. Plus, their banter never fails to make me laugh at times, as I’ve worried that sobriety would be tightly-laced, guarded a wall made of the Big Book. Yeah, Sober Curious doesn’t have that old stodgy feel at all. The Cuppa Community is very helpful if you want a social space without having to worry about a bunch of trigger, and full of ppl wanting to beat this same awful disease.

bamagal1960Relapse!Love listening to you two!! Instead of having my wine while cooking dinner, now I have my AirPods in and listen to y’all! Sober 80 days today!! 💐from Alabama 🥰

Kaebo260Love this! Both are funny and huge part of my sobriety! Vic’s laugh is so contagious!!
-
JoeMac7345Light-hearted and helpfulI listen to a few different sobriety podcasts and they tend to strike different tones. I like Sober Awkward for it’s friendly, easy-going vibe. But it’s not frivolous, it does address important topics, so if you want something not too intense but still helpful and substantive, this is a great podcast for you.

Paul Alchohol FreeSober Akward helped save meI couldn’t have succeeded in going alcohol free without this podcast. Thank you Vic, Lucy, and Haimish!

stuffycThey BUST me up!You are my morning walking partners. When you make me laugh and double over, somehow people clear the path as if I’m drunk! Lo and behold, I’m sober awkward too. Love your podcasts, topics, humor and honesty. Thank you for sharing your (hilarious) journey with all of us. If your sober or sober curious, download this podcast! You won’t regret it. Unless your drinking milk, and it comes out of your nose when you laugh uncontrollably.

Luna_blue415Love!One of my favorites if not my top sobriety podcast out there. Vic and Hamish have really great chemistry together, and the vulnerability that the share in their stories is so heart warming and totally necessary in this field. Doesn’t help that I find British accents simply adorable ☺️ Well done guys!
-
rhi816For realsNew to the scene but this podcast really put me in full on moments of ACCEPTANCE!!!! I have a problem with alcohol and apparently so do many many other “regular” people! That is what I personally needed for growth within my sobriety adventure. I have laughed, I have cried, I have become angry at the time wasted but having help navigate through is what I am finding with the discussions had on this podcast. So what I’m saying is, I just love it lots!!!
-
gkjumGreat podcastVic and Hamish are like long lost friends. Giving great advice and helping you down the winding sober path. Well worth a listen! I’ve not missed an episode yet!
-
Dinamic1okSo RelatableBinge listened to Sober Awkward when first starting my sobriety. It was so relatable, describing the awkwardness of being the only sober one in a world drenched in alcohol. I really couldn’t imagine giving up drinking FOREVER, but Vic & Lucy, and now Hamisch, use/used real life situations and humor to convince this former Party Girl/Binge Drinker/ Blackout Drinker that life without alcohol IS possible. Thank you for keeping me on this path…over eight months and going strong!!! I look forward to another podcast every week!
-
MychemicalharmonyGrateful!!Highly recommend listening to these guys. I feel less alone in this after listening to this podcast 💜 you should give the episode “your first 100 days of sobriety” even if you are far along in this!
-
CB724Entertaining & RealHighly recommend listening to every single episode! Vic, Lucy and Hamish become friends and a great source of support in every episode. I appreciate the humor as much as the wisdom shared, but most of all I appreciate the normalization of sobriety.
-
Pr1nczAbsolutely Love!Your show is hilarious, relatable, uplifting & I completely enjoy every single episode!!!

Boobear555aHonest and forthrightThis podcast helped me into sobriety and is where I turn when I need some encouragement. It’s like listening to your two good friends and I love and appreciate the stories they share. What a service to the community.

SpiffericiousStarted great, getting very judgmentalI really love the hosts, both old and new. But lately the tone toward people who drink has gotten incredibly condescending. While I know these hosts go for a 100% zero tolerance no alcohol life, plenty of people listen to the podcast under more of a harm reduction model and have learned or are learning to moderate. But the hosts put a lot of judgment on people for having a drink in common situations, probably because for them, one drink would lead to many drinks. Many, many people can have a beer before a flight and that’s it. Or a glass of wine at dinner and that’s it. And for many, it took work and understanding to get to that point. And it is worth celebrating regaining control. And for those without a control issue, let up and let them have a beer at the airport without acting like they will undoubtedly be kicked off the flight for being wasted.

Winnifred165SpeechWhat a beautiful and very raw speech. You’ve given yourself and your family such a gift.

KateMcPALove this podcastYou ladies are amazing!! I laugh and relate to so much that you share. Thank you for helping me stay sober ❤️
-
AnnnnnaEPhenomenalI would give this more stars if I could. There have often been times I have felt so alone in my sobriety journey. Vic, Lucy and Hamish talking about their sobriety feels like I’m listening in on a conversation with life long friends. The way they laugh about their experiences and really go there with the tough topics takes the edge off (shame off) the way I view my personal recovery. I’ve also joined Cuppa, their social media network for sober people where I feel accepted unconditionally. Game changer!
-
applereview92Honest and funnyThe stories shared are relatable. The topics covered can be enlightening. This podcast makes me feel like I’m not alone in my struggles with alcohol and hopeful about living a sober life.
-

Sober in COLOVE!I’m from Denver Colorado in the states and recently came across your podcast. I am three years sober and hearing your drunk-a-logs is like looking into a mirror and makes me laugh out loud. It’s your stories that help to keep me sober. The mix of humor and serious content is perfect, I adore it! I wish I could meet you both. Keep it up!

EmmyBGirlThese are my women!Love these women. They make me laugh, and I can RESONATE with both of their JOURNEYS. Both words they roll their eyes at … as do I … but it’s true. Hoping this gets popular in the US so I can find my sober awkward crew!

Phx2022Sobriety takes a funny, funny turnI have found myself laughing more after discovering this excellent podcast in September — and I was so happy to find that I hadn’t missed too many prior episodes which I quickly caught up on. Vic

Angie0651Highlight of my journey to sobrietyQuitting alcohol is tough! It’s a lot of work and growth - not just willpower - and this podcast is my absolute favorite part of this journey. Its great to listen to how, even after consuming so much alcohol throughout their lives, Lucy and Victoria are still so fun, and quick-witted, and seem to truly enjoy where they’re at in life now. And I just want to say the word “journey” one more time bc I know they love it ;)
-
NoLongerBloodyDrunkMommyComedic, Poignant, TimelyI found these two on accident day 2 of my sobriety. JUST WHAT I NEEDED. The mommy drinking culture is a dangerous ride that some of us cannot get off of unscathed. Their podcast is an honest, open, and hilarious look at going sober. They have made my work commutes a true joy. I can’t wait to hear what Lucy and Vic are going to talk about next. Kudos to these two for helping pass that sober torch on to others. It’s a bit awkward carrying that torch at times, but the longer I do, the brighter I burn. Salud! To Tea and Porridge, knitting, awkward TV, watching the traffic report, F it buttons, and the whole lot!
-

mainer1991Amazing PodcastThis podcast has helped me through the first 45 days of being sober. I love how relatable it is and I love the idea of being in a grey area when it comes to drinking. So much knowledge and so many things learned. So so good!
-
836163894LOVE!I feel like Vic & Lucy are my friends and have been encouraged in so many ways. I also desperately want to know the back story behind the “I like jumping” tattoo and the finger removal by firework. Keep up the podcast ladies you’re impacting so many more people than you could even imagine!
