    New road trip horror friends
Surprised and delighted to hear my friends Brandon and Roman on past episodes! 🖤 Really enjoying the conversations about some of my of my favorite horror movies. Thanks for keeping this single cat lady company 😸

    Keep the great job guys!!!!
Although I don't typically listen to podcasts, I can say that this one is entertaining. Troy and Roger's reviews are filled with energy and insight, making them a joy to listen to. Meeting them at conventions a few years ago gave me a sense of what to expect from this podcast. I am fond of the fact that they review all the obscure low-budget films that are not widely known. Sharing their personal opinions and not sounding like they are copying other critics is something that makes them authentic, which makes things more fun and refreshing to listen to. Whenever I need a distraction while driving to work or back home, this podcast is my go-to, and it even brings me joy during my sad days. I am looking forward to catching up with more of you guys in the upcoming months.

    Great Podcast!
I love Troy and Roger! They are my go to gay men who love and know horror movies! So refreshing for the gay horror community including myself. I love you guys and I can never drive my car without listening and re-listening to your podcasts. Stay fabulous you guys ❤️😍

    Such a great Podcast!
This is a must to listen to if you’re a avid fan of horror! They have such a great selection of movies that they review.

    Love These Sassy Gays
Troy and Roger always know how to the bring the sass, laughs, thirst, and horror to every single episode. Always a good variety of films covered from different decades, the campy, the iconic, the underrated, even the bad. My favorite episode currently has to be the Urban Legend epsidoe (one of my faves!) but especially because they had the great opportunity to speak with Jamie Blanks. Keep up the great work guys!

    Good Listening
This podcast was suggested by a friend of a friend while talking about bad movies and podcasts (Check out the Horrible Horror Podcast). After looking at some of the movies they have reviewed, I had to give a listen. It is a great listen. The energy and insight they bring to the reviews as well as some of the laughs makes this a great podcast.

I’m very particular on podcasts and don’t listen to very many, but I am loving this one! Y’all make me laugh, give a good and nostalgic description of some of my favorites! Five thousand stars ⭐️

    So great!
I listen to a lot of queer horror podcasts, and this is one of the best out there. Troy and Roger’s reviews are so entertaining! And often times they make me think of things I’ve never thought about movies I’ve seen a dozen times. They’ve also introduced me to some classics that I’ve missed in my horror education. Give it a listen. You’ll love it!

    Simply the best!
This podcast had been on my radar for a hot minute, so I finally took the plunge a few weeks ago…and let me just say guys- WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!? If you’re looking for witty, in-depth hot takes on classic horror flicks with a homo twist- look no further than the fantastic Dark Night of the Podcast, with the fabulous hosts Troy Escamilla and Roger Conners! These two are an absolute hoot, and make my 30-minute commute to work all the more bearable. I find myself laughing and talking back to them, as if they can hear me. Roger and Troy are the hosts with the most in this fantastic tribute to the world of horror. Hot, hip, and homosexual- it’s a fascinating deep-dive into some iconic (and not so iconic, but still fun!) scary movies, made all the more entertaining by two guys who obviously love horror as much as I do. Kudos for a delicious podcast that never fails to entertain!

    Love the Balance!
Came across Dark Night of the Podcast a month ago while on a five-hour layover. Was looking for a queer horror podcast that covered one of my fave films HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. Felt like I relived my 80s slasher youth. Roger and Troy’s banter is hilarious, insightful, and balanced both on ridiculous films and then on their deep dives on more controversial subject matter. Keep up the great work! - Fan for Life

Troy & Roger are wonderful hosts! What I love about their podcast is you can tell how much they love the genre & that their discussions are fun to listen to. They give a great review length about the film & they’re hilarious. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to hear more episodes.

    Criminally Entertaining!
Hosts Roger and Troy are not only hilarious and entertaining, the KNOw their horror. I have yet to come across a film review podcast that goes as thorough into the film as this one does. They strike the right balance between fun, entertaining banter and insightful commentary. A must listen!

    Amazing!!!!
The host seem humble and amazing! It’s probably the best horror podcast right now! Diligent and knowledgeable!!! Plus I personally think Troys voice is hot 😘! Love love love it!!!!

    Excellent Content!
Should I be generic and say “Ermehgerd! This is quality content! Keep em coming”? Yes? No? Well then. This kinda reminds me of Family Guy except there’s no idiotic working husband making corny jokes and getting into shenanigans with his dumb friends like attempting to make self-made content of Jackass or choosing the mystery box in hopes of getting a boat when the other option was an actual boat. Has there been any explosions? Not yet, but I await the day when someone decides to take the horror content of this podcast and turn it into a fan film based on terrible action movies with zombies and sexy vampires. Anyway this podcast has it all going on! Can’t wait for more! And now a word from our sponsors… Wait… That’s your job… NEVERMIND!!! Keep at it, fellas!

    Great Show
Troy and Roger are great podcast host with fun, entertaining insight on a diverse catalogue of horror movies. It’s can be a special kind of violence for a film podcast to make you endure two + hours of plot recaps, but with knowledge of the genre and interesting guests Dark Night of the Podcast is an engaging listen thats worth checking out if you’re a fan of the horror industry.

    Spectacular genre podcast
This has rapidly become one of my favorite shows in the genre. Troy and Roger use their years of experience in the industry to discuss the films in detail while still balancing a fine line between honest critique and fanboy enthusiasm which is accomplished rather well. Their chemistry and banter together is infectious and makes for a light, breezy listen as they cover their film of choice which is another big factor towards checking this out. Very highly recommended!
