    Enjoyable Listening
I enjoy all aspects of this podcast. It is very interesting to learn tips and reviews from Sherri and Chelsi. They give us an inside view of their creative endeavors and processes. Billy adds an interesting dimension by asking questions from his point of view. Listening is time well-spent with what has become a favorite podcast.

    Best Quilting Podcast!
I love this podcast! I have been trying to get into podcasts for quite awhile and this is the podcast that finally made me happy! I listen on my way to and from daycare with my daughter who is 10 months old. I appreciate the mix of technical talk for actual quilting, designing a quilt or fabric line and the talk about your family (I love the sprinkle of Billy with sports! Go Ms! John Olerud is my man). I appreciate you doing this and it makes my day when I get a notification that there is a new episode. PS I do sometimes go to the YouTube channel to see what quilt you are talking about!

I love listening each time an episode drops! I love the interaction between the three of you, the helpful information you share, and the ideas that inspire me to pick out my next project. The only downside is that I have to wait two weeks between episodes. Thank you for the fun podcast, beautiful fabrics, and great patterns.

    Great Episode 8/12824
This was a fun episode to listen to! FYI I was inspired to open a quilter’s retreat house after reading several of the first Elm Creek Quilt books! The sisterhood at retreats is amazing!

    My new favorite podcast!
So happy to have stumbled upon this podcast. The easy flow of conversation between the 3 of you is so welcoming. I feel like I’m sitting around the table with y’all. I get so much motivation to get my stuff done listening to all get finished. I’d love it if you were weekly 💕

    Easily my favorite podcast!
This slice of the crafting world has brought me so much joy after coming back to quilting after some years of hiatus whilst my son was young. Sherri, Chelsi and Billy make for a wholesome, knowledgeable, enlightening and funny trio, relating the ins and outs and in-betweens of the quilting world and its many connections and techniques…and sometimes golf and adored pets. —Seriously, I just love every episode, their easy-going conversations, beautiful quilts (I repeat watch on YouTube) and occasional guests. If I had one complaint, it would be a selfish desire to have an episode every week…or more. That said, every episode is worth the wait!

Billy! I used to have a TikTok account, but cancelled it due to the whole China connection thing. I enjoy the episodes! Chelsea, don’t let the naysayers occupy space in your head! Don’t give them another thought!! All 3 of you guys are so much fun to listen to! Keep up the good work!

    Listen every week
Thanks guys for starting this podcast, I’m a regular listener and love the positivity, tips, and when I’m watching and not just listening, all of the quilt-eye-candy. The production is so great and of course I enjoy the stories and tips. Waiting for a follow up to episode 59 maybe a WIP challenge. Hugs and thanks!

    Quilty minds think alike!
Bliss! Needed something to just have on while I loaded a baby quilt onto my longarm. Found this great podcast! I enjoy hearing how other quilter process quilt ideas and love being in such a amazing crafting space!

Hobbies outside of a business or work is so important. I enjoy hiking and exercising, but that’s what I’m trying to get a business or ministry going. My actual hobbies are sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting and various other things. So good for the mind, body, heart, soul and spirit. 😁

    Great podcast!!!
I finally figured out how to leave an apple review. I just want to say I love your podcast and I love the way it is a mother, daughter and son team. Chelsea and Billy have a great relationship and I love listening to the back-and-forth with them. There is lots of great information for new and experienced quilters. Both your quilts are beautiful and the fabric lines are very pretty also. Thank you all so much for the hard work that goes in to making these podcast and thank you for all the valuable information. You all do a wonderful job!

    The best quilting podcast…
…and I’ve listened to the all! I love this podcast—mostly I listen (not watch), but I do it on YouTube so I can quickly unlock my phone and see the photos you all reference during the show. Thank you all so much for everything you do to put this wonderful show together ❤️🧵 Also—Billy I laughed out loud when you said “find them at the creamery in Las Vegas” on episode 64…I will BE there! Haha. Love the show!

An Amazing Podcast for ALL Quilters
I cannot say how much these ladies have helped me with their podcast. I am a very busy mom of 3 boys and I don’t have a lot of time on my hands. This podcast has helped me in so many area with my quilting but even in my personal life. This mother and daughter duo is such a pleasure to listen to I sometimes go back and listen to old podcast. Thank you Sherri and Chelsi for this amazing podcast.

    Amazing
I enjoy your podcast so many tips and tricks I have learned. I started quilting 3 years ago and my very first quilting book at a local quilt shop was Labor of Love by Sherri. I purchased the book because of the Scrappy Dresden picture on the cover. It reminded me of my great grandma’s quilt that I was gifted from my mom, it was her grandma’s. The quilt is all Dresdens. I had not connected your podcast with my quilting book I purchased until recently. I am new to the quilting family and I am learning so much from your podcast. I normally watch you and Chelsea on YouTube so I can see all of your beautiful quilts.

    Love these ladies and Billy
I love this podcast. I started listening back in 2020 and it’s awesome. They’re so sweet and the topics they discuss are on point. I am not part of a guild but if I could make my own, I’d hope they’d be in it.
  • TheresaPhoenix
    Delightful!
I started listing to your podcast around the beginning of the year! I just loved the interaction between everyone. Billy has such insightful questions and fleshes out ideas very well. It helps having a non-quilter in the mix! Then I discovered you also upload the podcast to YouTube! So now I listen to the podcast as soon as it comes out, then on Tuesday, I watch it on YouTube so I can see the quilts. I keep paper and pencil handy to take notes. I learn so much. Thank you sharing, not only your quilting, but a little slice of your life! Keep up the awesome work.

    Favorite Quilting Podcast
I’ve been listening from the beginning and the episodes keep getting better and better. So far, the April 11, 2022 episode has been my favorite…so interesting! I love to listen while I am quilting. I quilt a lot, so keep the episodes coming!

    Amazing!
This is truly an amazing podcast. I happened to stumble upon their YouTube channel (never have quilted in my life!) and couldn’t help but fall in love with the craft. They are so inspirational you can’t help but keep listening!

I really enjoyed episode 49. It’s so great that your long arm quilters each have their own specialty and such a close friendship. What a wonderful combo! (Re: a listener question from an earlier episode about wrapping the backing fabric around to the front of the quilt to self-bind, what Marion said about quilting past the edges {I do that, as well} is a very good reason why that binding technique doesn’t look too good.)
  • MJPEncinitas
    One of the best podcasts
I love this quilting podcast. It’s folksy, yet well organized. I always learn something new! I love the different sections of the podcasts and the interaction between mother and daughter is wonderful. The podcast makes my quilting and kitchen cleaning time much more interesting. Thank you! I also recently purchased Sherry’s planner and it too, looks great and it’s going be a big help in getting organized for quilting.

    My fave
This duo keeps me motivated to continue to learn more about quilting. Every episode has been such a bright point in my life, especially during covid. They and the people they interview seem so positive and they make me feel empowered to continue learning. Their voices are also calming, a big plus when listening for hours and hours. Thank you!

    So much info and enthusiasm!
I just subscribed to A Quilting Life podcast, and I ran through a whole year of episodes in 3 days! I’m extremely new to quilting, and Sherri and Chelsi make me less hesitant about everything. I live in a rural farming community, the closest quilt shop is 40 miles away. I’ve not found them to be helpful in answering my newbie questions, so this podcast is exactly what I need. The question and answer covers all the topics I have questions about. But most of all, I’ve learned to stop taking everything so seriously, and just enjoy the process! Thank you!

    Fun and entertaining podcast
I love this podcast. I haven’t ever been able to sit and listen to a podcast before, but that all changed with this one! Sherri and Chelsi are down to earth, fun to listen to and give great tips in each episode.

    Love your podcast!
I came across your Instagram page and saw you mention the podcast. I often listen to podcasts when I am sewing. Honestly I wasn’t sure how interesting a podcast on quilting could be but you ladies ( and Billy) do a wonderful job and I love the link with photos and show notes. Your tips and tricks are very helpful. I’ve been sewing since I was 4 years old with my great grandmother and got into quilting in college. I’ve set it aside for a while but COVID mask making for me back into it and I appreciate everything you share.

    Great quilt related podcast
Love this mother and daughter combo. I knew about Sherri from reading her blog. But was introduced to Chelsi and brother Billy through listening to this podcast. Great information here about all things quilting. Thanks to all of you for this wonderful podcast!

Who knew I’d like a quilting podcast?
I’m a quilter and newbie longarmer - I love podcasts but had only tried one other quilting one but just couldn’t get into it. Your show came up as a recommended one as I was unfollowing the other (the other maker is lovely but I just couldn’t get into the format!). I love listening to y’all in my car and it gets me thinking about my own sewing habits, likes, dislikes, and has encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone on some projects. Keep up the good work!

Just want to say thanks for putting on this podcast. Via YouTube / Apple podcast. Your show is so packed with information and lot of quilting enabling goodies. I listen to you while I walking at lunchtime, sewing or siting down while clipping all those threads. 😳can’t wait to see what superstar guest you’ll have on next. So glad my mom got me into quilting. My husband not so much (just kidding) See you ladies soon!

    Can’t Listen Too Much!
I LOVE your podcast. I listen here on Apple Podcasts but I also enjoy watching on YouTube! Sometimes I replay the episodes several times just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. You guys inspire me and the positive energy you put out is contagious! Billy, you do a great job filming and editing. A Quilting Life is my go to while I’m stitching and creating!

    Honest review
I will preface this by saying that I’m not trying to be rude or hurtful but just giving an honest opinion. Sheri has been in the business a long time and I love her videos. She is very experienced and always has a lot of good information to share. She is also good at teaching and explaining things. Although she probably enjoys having a business with her daughter, Chelsi doesn’t add a lot of value to the podcast as far as knowledge goes. She talks a lot without saying that much and is always overly eager to share something and talk about nothing giving Sheri a much smaller amount of time to share more valuable information. I find myself trying to skip forward when Chelsi isn’t saying much but just commenting on something. I feel that part of the podcast is a waste of my time. Sheri is more than capable of standing on her own with the podcasts and I’m not sure why she doesn’t. Chelsi doesn’t seem to know more than your average quilter does but rides on mom’s coat tails. I do love A Quilting Life and follow Sheri on her platforms. I think she’s amazing! I will continue to listen to the podcast because of Sheri and skip the parts where Chelsi runs on commenting or there is meaningless jabber. There just isn’t a lot of value in that part for me. Again, I’m just giving an honest review.
