Update: I just want to say thank you for covering the Delphi case. I have been following this story for years and to be able to get a daily recap of this trial is great and so appreciated! It’s so great to be able to listen to a few stories daily! I feel as if the wait isn’t as long for full regular sword and scale episodes. Thank you!

Great podcast but the transitions between stories are loud and jarring

I like Ryan’s style. It’s a good compliment to Mike’s in the regular Sword and Scale feed. I am 70 years old, legally blind, and live alone with the terminally ill cat. It’s nice to have friendly voices sharing interesting stories with me throughout the day. That being said, I listen to a lot of podcasts and of course audiobooks. I look forward to the time when this podcast is available without commercials. I will certainly find a way to up my subscription to Sword and Scaleto receive it in that format. Good job everybody. I so appreciate your hard work. This is an addition, a postscript so to speak on my review. Sadly, I’m legally blind, and can’t read the words that I’ve already spoken however, what I wanna say this time is slightly different: I love the music that you play in the background at the closing of your Podcasts, relaxing lighthearted there should be calm as they are sorry and indirect contrast to the content of the podcast. Thanks Ryan. I start my day with you every day after CNN 5 Things so I get a dose of the interestingly violent news at the crack of Dawn.

Don’t worry about the commercial support. If you don’t like em, there’s a fast fwd button for that, but sometimes I’ve actually found the ads useful…go figure. Give it a quick daily listen and if you like, subscribe to sword and scale plus. It’s not that expensive friends. If you can afford an iPhone, you can afford a subscription to an awesome ad-free podcast.

5 stars because S&S is always the best, and I’m so glad this show is back. I was disappointed when I started listening again because it doesn’t seem as professionally done as it used to be. I just went back and listened to a 2019 episode and it’s far different. Host was more serious and less jokey. I’ll still listen of course, but the show was definitely better in earlier episodes - which is odd because shows usually get better with age.

Simply put… You have become a part of my morning routine. Don’t change what you’re doing. bravo!

I love this show except the amount of commercials are annoying. I could get over the commercials but they seem soooo much louder than the actual podcast - just me? To eliminate the commercials, I’d be willing to pay. If only there was another way…

Missed S&S Daily and I’m glad it’s back. I love that this includes stories from all over the US. (S&S tends to focus a lot on the Southeast so I am happy to hear stories from other places).

I’m new to sns daily. I love everything about Sword and Scale so anytime I can get more content I am happy to soak it up. I heard the most recent episode where he read reviews which made me want to come and contribute to that. Thanks for everything you do. Know that you are appreciated. Also if you hate the ads so much there is a skip button very simple to skip over them if they bother you that much. I also pay for plus and am happy to do it. It’s the only show I support. I don’t normally pay for content. NOW, since I’ve been listening for so long and have been absolutely riveted to stories and sitting at work surrounded by mundane nonsense. I feel like I’m in my own world completely separate from the people walking around me. That’s powerful story telling and I support it. If you need to run ads as long as I can skip them I’m totally cool with it and will continue to pay and love everything you take the time to produce. Keep it coming thanks so much.

I get making money, but this feels like a crazy cash grab. There is an ad in between each short story, meaning 2-3 minutes of a show under 15 minutes is ads. Also, Ryan says “now” A LOT. Now, using a filler word to prep a sentence is understandable, but it does get a bit annoying. Now, using another filler or noticing this might help to be less redundant. Now.

I have been a fan of Sword and Scale since almost the beginning of the show. I remember when Daily first came out and enjoyed it then. That being said, way too many commercials. I get the need to make money, that’s why I pay for plus, but a commercial between each short segment is a bit much.

I pay 20$ a month for s&s plus. It’s so WORTH IT. Please put s&s daily on the app!! please don’t make me pay 10$ extra to stupid apple podcast.

I love it, bring it!

I want to preface this by stating that I consume podcasts pretty much morning to night- I listen to a TON of podcasts and I am not one of those people that complain about normal ads at all. Ever. But this? What in the actual? This podcast is very short and it is CONSTANTLY interrupted by absolutely annoying and repetitive ads. Like the same ad every time and every 2 minutes. Absolutely stop that nonsense and I’ll update my review. Also I have the paid version so why am I hearing ads at all? It literally says (ad free) at the top of the podcast and “paid subscription”.
