I have listened to a lot of parenting podcasts, advice, therapists etc. I was really disappointed about this episode. The good things in it were what you shared about Dr Becky’s useful perspective. Your whole show was taking her perspective and critiquing it, versus bringing your own perspective to the table on how to counter entitlement. The fact that Dr Kathy is critiquing someone who he wasn’t familiar with and obviously didn’t understand how she suggests implementing her ideas, is poor taste and really douses his credibility in my eyes. The lack of depth and research about what you were saying makes me unlikely to listen to more episodes. I am looking for helpful information and perspective.

As a mom and professional youth worker, I love these bite-sized insights into the world of our kids. It is helpful to keep up with research and trends, with a voice of courageous, calm wisdom speaking into it.

Kathy Koch is one of my favorite living humans. I value her advice more than I can put into words. She is a bless to my personal family & to families everywhere! Thank you Jesus for Dr. Kathy!

Updated to add that my favorite episodes were prior to Jan 1, 2023. The name and format changed. Still love Dr Kathy but I think the content was best before the changes. Dr Kathy is smart, encouraging, caring, thoughtful, warm and inspiring. She’s also a very gifted communicator who gives you the tools and desire to be the best parent you can be. She is so filled with wisdom and practical ideas. She’s not afraid to point out mistakes but also wants to be sure we see our mistakes as encouragement to do better in the future and not to feel hopeless and discouraged about the past.

I always finish an episode with a feeling of HOPE and with a biblical reference. There are hundreds of podcasts for Parents/Children BUT Dr.Kathy is yielded to Christ. It makes all the difference as she shares creative ideas and knowledge with us. 💙

I have been listening to Dr Kathy for a long time. This new format is awesome! I introduced the new podcast to my husband and I catch him listening to it more often than I get to. I have shared many of the episodes! Keep up the good work.!

The new format of this podcast is excellent. I love the music and length of the show. Dr Kathy has great information from her years of experience. I’m always skeptical listening to advice on parenting and kids from someone who does not have kids. In this case, I have not yet found advice that isn’t logical and sound in biblical principles. This podcast was recommended by our Christian school and I definitely recommend it to other Christian parents or even parents who wish to raise their kids according to Christian and moral principles.

I have been looking for a podcast like this. It is so uplifting! I need encouragement coming through my ear buds. Dr. Kathy gracefully addresses complicated issues, and gives me insight to help my family right now - in real life. Thank you to everyone who puts this podcast together. Y’all are a gift. I can’t tell you how much I have learned through Dr. Kathy’s practical and Godly advice and wisdom. My parenting and relationship with my family has changed through God’s grace as a result of listening to her podcasts and reading her books. I can’t recommend this podcast enough! You will not only be encouraged, you’ll be a better parent and shepherd to your children.

Practical advice for interpersonal skills development. The tools provided cause you to look inward and self-develop as well as encourage your child’s development. They are not only applicable to your relationships with your children, but all of the people you encounter. Such a valuable dose of truth, understanding, and wisdom.

I came across Dr. Kathy on her many visits to Focus on the Family. I admire her dedication to help parents understand their kids on a spiritual level. I have two girls and they are night and day, so her books and podcasts have been very helpful!

Dr. Kathy has such a gift for encouraging and giving parenting advice. I appreciate that it is helpful for parenting teens also (which a lot of parenting books aren’t great at). I find sometimes this podcast is more applicable to me than my kids. Dr. Kathy has a way of sharing wisdom that I always need to hear. I love this one and Focus on the Family for parenting podcasts.
