Thirty Twenty Ten

A pop culture time machine! We'll examine TV, movies, music and video games from the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s. Come remember with us!

    Rewind in time.
Find yourself lost in any of 3 decade. Remember when.

    Just a talking garbage pile.
I have listened for years but I can’t hear ‘men are trash’ as a definitive statement any longer and stay a fan. I’m out. They are the polar opposite of the ‘Rogan’ brand of bro podcasts. Just as divisive and equally obnoxious. I don’t even care about loose political talk, but I am a man and I’m tired of hearing that I am trash as a default position.

    Great
    Indispensable work.

Very enjoyable but I want the older episodes
These guys definitely know their pop culture and an overall pretty entertaining show but they are so full of hate, especially Chris. If you don't think like they do, they will sprew hatred towards you. So much for the "tolerable left".

    Angry people.
When woke culture ends, you guys are done. The people you walk away from at a party.
  • Amazing Cory B.
    Hosts are filled with hate
JR is cool The other two are super radical and filled with hate. This latest episode one of them said they hated Kelsey Grammar for his personal beliefs and the other said that they were glad Ronald Reagan died. I gave five stars because I love nostalgia.

I prefer the episodes pre JR
I look forward to new episodes. Sometimes I like to listen to them more than once. Sara, Diana and Chris have great chemistry and it’s easy to see why they are friends. Edit- I wanna give it 3 1/2 stars since Sara left, it’s not as enjoyable. I can appreciate J.R.’s passion for film, but he constantly mispronounces names. Jeremy Piven is not Jeremy Priven. Brendan Fraser is not Brendan Frasier. Debut is pronounced as day-byoo, not duh-boo. I have found myself looking up older episodes. Chris and Diana get 5 stars. JR gets 2.

    The host is awful
Chris Antista is an awful, low IQ host who is obsessed with politics and can’t help but interject his politics at every opportunity. If you can tolerate that, then give this show a listen. JR Rawls and Diana Goodman are knowledgeable and interesting.

    Great content and great chemistry
I love the stuff they talk about. I agree with about half of their movie opinions and takes and yet they’re still enjoyable to listen to. I just wish they dialed it back on their political opinions. They act like their political takes is the only correct one
  • HEAVY METAL DAD
    Super leftists
Great show but the politics of the hosts are way left and gross at times they sometimes act like their way of thinking is the only correct way to think and it gets in the way of total enjoyment

SO Much fun to listen to
I listen to this during all my drives. Hosts are witty knowledgeable and entertaining! Always gives me good ideas on what to watch that I missed and what to skip. Also really fun to relive old memories and remind me what is worth a rewatch. Keeps my entertainment “to do” -list long.

Take some back wa h week in an entertaining super fun way! Love the hosts; Chris is fun, Diana is fun and JR is fun. Can’t be beat.

    Keeps getting better
The show has really improved its research and breath of depth. It's a great show and if you want a fun podcast give this a shot!
  • WHMHT
    Great show
Always fascinating to see what pop culture artifacts have aged like wine , what has aged like milk, and what simply has vanished from the public consciousness.

    Top Tier Show. My Fav.
My week is incomplete without hearing an episode of Thirty Twenty Ten. The hosts are always present with their own takes

    My Favorite Podcast
Thirty Twenty Ten is hands down my favorite podcast each week. It’s a great mix of walking down memory lane and discovering new things I missed at the time. Diana, Sarah, and Chris are great hosts and have a fun and authentic chemistry. Diana is a walking cinema encyclopedia and a national treasure, Sarah is hilarious and always has thoughtful commentary, and Chris serves up the funniest celebrity impressions I’ve ever heard. Keep up the fantastic work, gang! Sincerely, a proud Patreon sponsor.

    Why? I’ll tell you why!
Thirty Twenty Ten is my favorite podcast. There! I said it! Chris, Diana, and Sarah have great chemistry and their breadth and depth of knowledge ensures that you always learn something new about film and pop culture, whatever the heck they’re talking about, and have a great time along the way. They take the subject matter seriously but not themselves. Their banter brightens up my week every freakin time and I enter every weekend with the inspiration to watch something old but new to me, or to rewatch a favorite from the past with their perspectives and anecdotes in mind. Podcast paradise, baby.

    Great, except for the dude
I love the structure of the show but cannot stand the one dude on the show constantly talking over Sarah and Diane, both of whom are the comical and incredibly insightful forces.

    Fantastic Nostalgia
It’s great to hear there hosts opinions on the big pop culture events from days past and it’s definitely the most pleasant reminder that I’m getting old.

    Fantastic Pop Culture Time Capsule
Was looking for a different podcast and came across the laser time network of podcasts. Gave 30 20 10 a listen and subscribed to all the channels shows after that Chris Sara and Diana are great and a joy to listen to every week

    A gem!
If you love a good pop culture history podcast this one is for you! The hosts are funny, relatable and they do their homework. I find myself laughing and also cringing because I remember when things happened...you won’t be disappointed

Literally my favorite piece of media in any medium
I would like to give a tough but fair review. Simply put this is the best podcast of all time. In no podcast do I listen week after week and always get nothing but joy from doing so. To the hosts I have but one question; Your podcast seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so great?

    Best Weekly Pop Culture Podcast
This show is what it is because of the ladies. Sarah’s laugh, her y’all’s, and how she brings personal context to pop culture (and being hero to libraries everywhere) combined with Diane's encyclopedic knowledge, her critical eye, and interpretations of film/tv is why I anticipate this show week to week. Chris rounds them out with humor, goofyness, knowledge, and pace; making this show amongst my absolute favorite. I learn something new every week and have gone back to revisit movies and shows with new perspectives; even discovering brand new things to explore. Huge catalog so if you are listening for the first time you can go back and listen to the backlog and they hold up well. Big fan here. Feels like they are my buds just talking pop culture with me.

    It’s a great time
I love listening to this podcast each week to dive into some pop culture nostalgia. I started listening a couple of years ago leading up to my 30th birthday and it was such a fun and interesting time capsule of life in 1989. I’ve been a dutiful listener ever since! Highly recommend.
  • wgdpod
    Funny
The hosts, Chris, Sarah, and Diane (need to update the hosts on the podcast ;-)) do a great job bringing different opinions to areas of culture that occurred 30/20/10 years ago. Honestly, ever struggle with a conversation with a coworker or family member and realize a random movie came out 20 years ago and you have a nice conversation about it? This a great show to spark those memories and point out gems you forgot about or missed.

    Appointment Listening
Chris, Diana, and Sarah have made one of my favorite shows ever with this pop culture time machine. Excellent chemistry between the hosts, light and breezy but still full of pop culture insight. It’s a fantastic trip through the decades and it’s an absolute staple for me.

    Chris should probably move on
Sadly Chris is not funny and brings down the show

    Even if curious, Try it!
I am a news/history/film junkie, and this is a treat each week to listen to. The hosts are fun, I am reminded of things I forgot from my childhood and introduced to new topics I did not even know were a thing. A Must when looking at the week ahead, and posting that “Can you believe its been 10/20/30 years since this was a thing?”
  • HouseTales
    Still entertaining
Where are all the old episodes with the older crew????
  • unoclay
    its slipping a bit
I've been a supporter for years via patreon. Lasertime remains my fav of the network. I have to be honest. The show isnt as good since the host moved back to Florida. I miss the guys who used to be on the show...it was funnier, lighter. I "like" the hosts but the show has sort of changed in ways that make it less fun. I dont really want to get into the culture wars stuff here, and i generally agree with the hosts' opinions, but..i guess i'll just leave it at "i used to like the old crew better". Still listening, but my interest is dwindling in this one, a bit.
  • Millenial Philosopher
Like going on a date with Bill Cosby
Updated for 2020: As the title says, this is painful, awkward and leaves you filled with regret and shame. The hosts think they’re funny but are so full of themselves and pretentious that the few times I try to listen, I mentally make a note to avoid anything they like. It’s Sarah is a “woke” child who loves abortion, hates anything right of communist and is as funny as getting stabbed in the stomach. Dianne has an obnoxious voice and comes off as an entitled jackass. And Chris...oh Chris. Whenever that drug addicted sociopath opens his mouth I want to cancel myself. He’s the worst of the three with unfunny “jokes”, offensive humor (and I don’t find anything short of Holocaust jokes offensive) and “woke.” The show is liberal propaganda at its worst and ruins what could be a good concept.

I'm Sad That the 80's are gone but Hopeful aabout the 90's
I have been a listener for a long, but don't have any Apple products, so i had to dust of the ol' computer tower and boot up the Dell to write this review. Anyway, I love this podcast and will continue to be a supporter of the whole network. The information given is so awesome and it makes me feel old but the memories are great and with a new decade to look into from the start, this will a great pod for the years to come!!
  • Marvcow
    It doesn’t stop.
No one laughs harder at Chris’ jokes than himself. God forbid the co-hosts find his “jokes” mildly amusing. At that point, with his ego and confidence inflated, he laughs louder and longer bringing the show to a halt. Add “Drink every time Chis Laughs at his own joke” to the “drink every time Chris says, ‘Jesus Christ’” drinking game, and you’ll be passed out before the end of the first sequent.

    Gone down hill
This show was good. However, you’ve got some female always complaining about men, the white race and guns. She seems to be the typical San Francisco lib. Go clean up the streets of tenderloin if you need to feel special.
  • WolfgangTietz
    Former listener - tried again.
I used to listen to this show, I used to LOVE this show then I started getting annoyed with the little things. When they get into their political chatter, which happens at least once an episode, I don’t TOTALLY agree with them but it is something to just roll my eyes to. I can understand which it is appropriate to bring up certain political topics when it applies to the show but to bring up your disdain for Trump and it doesn’t apply gets old. No one likes Trump! We get it! Another review mentioned if you were to make a drinking game out of the amount of time Chris says ‘Jesus Christ’ you’d be dead, that comment couldn’t be truer! Jesus Christ that guy says Jesus Christ A LOT! And if you don’t think Chris says Jesus Christ a ton, buckle in fans to be reminded of the patreon that keeps this 40+ year old man child afloat. Like I said, these are mostly little things, That just add up. The show was at its peak when Dave was a host. I can’t give this show a one star due to it has great moments. It can be quite fun. A look back at what was going on in the world of pop culture 30/20/10 years ago is a blast. All in all, give the show a try, make your own opinions about it all.

    Fantastic Format
Great look-back 30, 20, and 10 years ago. Hosts do a great job of looking at the past from the viewpoint of when it happened and through a modern lens. Really heavy on movies and TV with some music and games thrown in. One of my favorites.
  • Rexwho81
    Never miss it!
Definitely my favorite podcast. I was a little late to the party so I scrolled all the way back to the beginning and listened to back episodes in-between current episodes. I love hearing the old movie trailers and commercials. Chris, Diana and Sarah are full of useless knowledge (in a good way)!
  • alisaurus.wrecks
    New Favorite!
I just discovered this podcast yesterday and I think it's delightful. I like the hosts, I think they're funny and I love the concept. There's obviously a lot of hard work that goes into the research for this pod and I really respect that. If you don't agree with someone's politics, then go make your own podcast. No one is interested in you complaining about it in a review. Keep up the great wotk Thirty Twenty Ten! I can't wait to binge the entire show!
  • biscuit_21
    Please turn off Chris’ mic
The two women hosts are insightful and charming, but they keep getting interrupted by Chris, a highly caffeinated teenage boy who YELLS into the MICROPHONE like THIS. If you cut off Chris’ mic, it would be a far more entertaining program.
  • Brent Niggli
    Good but...
I enjoy the podcast but after having to hear their political banter BS there’s no way I’d join them on Patreon. They can beg someone else for $
  • Raygan
An incredible feat of weekly research, prep, and humor
This is such an incredible podcast. It has only gotten better over the time I’ve been listening to it. At least once a week I find out about a movie or show that I missed from decades past and have a great time catching up. This is the one podcast I never skip.
  • Viva42
    Dad jokes aplenty
So. Many. Horrible. Jokes! Drink every time the host says “Jesus Christ!”, you’ll die in minutes.

    Ehh
It’s a time killer and I like the sound bites but aside from that these people are pretty annoying

    Love my time machine
Big fan of lasertime in general. Even though there have been host shakeups and Chris moving to Florida, the show has never been better. Love Sarah, Diane, and of course Chris. Keep up the good work.
