Sean Avery: A 12-year NHL Hockey career and one of the most legendary NY Rangers who called Madison Square Garden, “The Most Famous Arena in The World”, home. In a NY Ranger Jersey, Sean was the first professional athlete from the “Big 4” to endorse New York State’s push for Marriage Equality as well as the first pro to intern at Vogue Magazine during the off-season. Sean Avery wrote the best-selling memoir, Ice Capade, on the Penguin Random House imprint. He then transitioned into a brand-new acting career with credits to-date in director Peter Berg’s Patriots Day, Mile 22 and most recently, Chris Nolan’s upcoming blockbuster TENET. So naturally, the No Gruffs Given Podcast was the next step. An unapologetic conversation only a true narcissist like Sean can only have with himself, which people will hate, and people will love.     Humans, This podcast gives an unusually refreshing view into the weekly goings on in the world. It’s touches on everything from how to tailor the “Look Good Feel Good” mantra/program into your lifestyle to the latest NHL gossip/awesome guest stars/bike lane tales/ nasher/ and general goings on/dude married a super model! Just listen and enjoy. He hits his true stride at episode 6 but 1-5 are necessary to enjoy the evolution of the host. 10/10 listen to weekly.

    If you like someone who brings people on the show to spread lies to real world problems not even hockey, this is the show for you. If you’re a trumper and couldn’t read that, this show is for you. Some solid hockey knowledgeable but definitely some CTE in there.

    Sean your interview with AJ Gallante was brilliant. This is what a podcast should be. I’ve listened to 4 or 5 interviews with this guy and it’s all been the same questions and same answers. You took the initiative to ask interesting questions to allow the listener to really get to know this guy. Journalism has, for the most part, become really lazy. I know you’re not a journalist, but this is how it should be. Keep up the great work Sean.

    Been listening to Sean since he started. My favorite part is the intro. Hearing what Sean has been paying attention to and what he’s feeling about the current situation. I believe he is an accurate gauge of the temperature across the USA. And he just says it. He’s not worried about being cancelled, he just says it, and nails it. He kills it with his advertising. The way he integrates his ad reads, brilliant. His relationship with Hillary and the amount of love he demonstrates for both her, his wife, and son Nash, it’s an inspiration and I hope everyone listening takes note and admires that. Society tends to view the wife or husband as the ball and chain but it doesn’t have to be that way. Communication is the key and by by the way Sean speaks, they prioritize that. Gives me hope!

    Outstanding podcast. I find the best parts are always the time when it’s just Sean riffing on what he sees or recounting his thoughts — See the Tenet episode. Yes it has gotten political, which is had reduced some of the variety, and typically the guests get the stage so a lot of their views are the mainstay. I find that great for the diverse guests (hockey players, designers, etc.) but can be monotonous with political guests. What makes the podcast great is that Sean Avery brings a perspective thats different from pretty much anyone else I have heard, with an incredible range in classic Avery fashion (skin care, hockey, fighting, trash talk, politics, family). I find it refreshing to hear someone with no excuses, conviction, plus a great (and comical) disregard for sh**yness out of people.

Terrible takes, terrible rhetoric, and holds all the same opinions that 16 year olds white kids with maga flags hold.     Started listening from episode 1 and haven’t stopped. You can tell he has a plan going into each episode and takes his craft seriously. Also, he did a cameo for my buddy Sean Perkins (bachelor party) and it was pure gold! Seriously buy a cameo from Sean he puts a lot into it. Don’t sleep on Avery he’s going to do big things.
