I’ll admit I only listened to one episode (Arrival), but the hosts misunderstood the plot of the movie so wildly that I won’t be giving them another chance. They somehow didn’t realize that (spoiler alert) the flashbacks in Arrival weren’t from Louise’s past, but from her future. The podcast is listed as “film reviews for sophisticated cinephiles,” but they said the movie was pretentious and belongs in a college film study class instead of a movie theater. Don’t call yourself sophisticated if you can’t understand a simple plot twist.

Ann and Les are full of both insight and humor. So funny!

What a great way to choose my next movie. As one who is very particular about which movies I am willing to give up my time for, I find this to be the perfect service for me. I appreciate the contrasting views Les and Ann often present, knowing that my own views could fall somewhere in between. Looking forward to future reviews!

These reviews are entertaining and helpful. I like that they do a weird variety of movies including kids movies.

I love these podcasts because they have movie reviews from the last 10 years, so they remind me of some of the classics as well as some of the movies I missed.

I love these reviews because they are all around 10 minutes long, so I can usually finish an episode before my kids need me! It's perfect as a mom, because I can multitask by listening on a short car ride or while doing laundry. The other thing is, it seems clean enough that I can listen with my little ones and they won't hear anything inappropriate or vulgar...which is hard to find these days!

I love how the hosts discuss so much about a movie in a short amount of time. There are so many movie reviews that ramble for almost the entire length of a movie, but this one is the perfect length! They are also hilarious - I love their jokes!

I like that the hosts have real writing/acting experience in Hollywood. A lot of these movie review podcasts seem like a random guy in his basement rambling for an hour, but I trust these hosts and they are well-edited.

This podcast is fantastic! Their reviews are helpful and insightful. Even if I disagree with their analyses, the reviews make me think more deeply about the actors, direction, writing, and cinematography. I also love Ann and Les' cutesy humor and witty word plays.
