Listening to this makes me glad to know that women who like me who where sexually assaulted can speak out. I wish I saw this number I would have told my story

As a woman who can identify with this struggle, I feel such gratitude and love for all the woman who have filled this podcast with their truth. To them I say: It is so hard to tell your story, but you did it. And once you put words like that into the Universe they lose much of the weight weighing down on your heart each day. God bless you, know you are not along, and give yourself a big old bear hug, kiss the mirror, or jump for joy —make time to tell yourself how amazing you are. How worthy you are. Because self love is important and you are awesome. That much I know!!!

I have never connected to a podcast like this one. I remember when Dakota posted her number for the hotline and I was so tempted to call but I was still too scared because I’ve never told anyone my story. This podcast helped me open up to my best friend about my assault. Thank you.

I was one of those that left a message. It was intense. I deleted and replayed it over and over. I was scared and as I re-recorded my message for what felt like the millionth time, I decided to say my name with strength. In saying my name I realized I was no longer hiding. Thank you for allowing me to have a safe place to share. What you are doing is saving lives, including mine.
