    Confused about frequency of episodes
Why did this all of a sudden come back with a sole part 4 of an episode?
  • Bonnieloulou
    Really good podcast!
I like the dramatized stories a lot! I enjoy listening to Vanessa. Greg is wayyyy too nasally.

How do you not know Ammvtyiille is in NY.
What kind of researchers do you have? How could you have dropped the ball that bad??

    Amityville episode
I have very much enjoyed listening to these Conjuring episodes. For the most part, I let the little mistakes that slip through your fact checkers slide, but in this episode, it lists the Amityville Horror house as being in New Jersey, both in the script and in the episode summary. This town is in NEW YORK. That is so well-known and is such a simple and obvious error...I am quite disappointed in this oversight. Come on, Parcast. Be better.

    Wrong location
Just listened to their Amityville episode. They got the location wrong. Amityville is on the south shore of Long Island, not New Jersey.

I really wanted to like this, but alas
I was enjoying the first few episodes I heard, until I got to the episode where Chelsea Manning was deadnamed. There was no reason to do this - the narrator could simply have explained that she is trans for the sake of the backstory, and clarified that her former name would not be used. Not only was she deadnamed at the beginning of the story, but after stating her current name would be used, again her deadname was used. A bit more research into current journalism practices could have easily prevented this.

    Barmaid? Really?
Parcast is consistent and you know what you’re getting. Love that truly. With. That. Said! Unsubbed from all Parcast today bc honestly BARMAID? Let’s ask everyone if they’re on their period with that language. Honestly. As a career barTENDER, that speech threw me for a loop. Horrified.

Too many crossovers, cheap production, sexist.
This is a Parcast problem in general. If I wanted to listen to an episode of one of your other shows, I would download that one to listen! Advertising other shows is one thing, but it feels like half the season of any of their programs belongs to another show. Also, the topics are interesting, but get your facts straight! And please, PLEASE check your toxic masculinity. Ironically, Tales is the only podcast on your network which I feel even tries to explain historical context and isn’t completely sexist.

Ignorant, poorly researched and out of touch
The portrayal of women in general on this show is piss poor, but the way this show portrayed Elizabeth Short - who has a name - was disgusting. This program took a woman who is brutally murdered and wrongly portrayed her as a drunken “ bar fly” rather than actually doing any research it would’ve showed that she had a very troubled and tumultuous childhood. Additionally she was simply trying to survive with virtually no family support and a time we’re options for women were virtually nonexistent. Absolute trash - do better. You have more resources than many podcasters, yet others don’t seem to lack basic empathy and social awareness.

    Oh how I wish...
I really wish the journalistic and academic integrity of all of the Parcast podcast offerings was better. I am always interested in the topics they choose, but the fact that the “reporters” don’t even disclose their last names, much less any of their sources, makes me doubt every word. The campy tabloid-like delivery makes everything worse. I now actively avoid Parcast shows because I’ve been disappointed so often.

    Love this!
I love this podcast. I fell in love with it after their Roaring 20’s series, and am listening to the Princess Diana episode now. :) Perfect for long commutes and rainy days.

Love the story, hate the narrator
I love parcast and I love their true crime research. But I hate this woman’s nasally voice. Almost feels like she is trying too hard. 😭😭😭 So instead of 5 stars, I’m gonna take 2 stars off because that’s the reason I stopped listening to this.

    Very well done. Thanks

Crime in the 20’s? Sometimes it just takes Parcast to make true crime awesome 🤗
When I first started listening to it I was astounded 😯 when I listened to it made me cry tears of joy because it covers crime in my favorite decade: the 1920’s. Here’s to many more great new podcasts by Parcast 🥂🥳

    Great
    Great story lines.

    Parcast’s Narrators are Robots
After trying to listen to several different shows from the Parcast network, I’ve found that, no matter the subject, the podcasts are incredibly boring because all of the narrators are so terrible. If you like radios shows from about 1934 then maybe the delivery of these stories will interest you, but for the most part it’s fairly cringeworthy and just plain awkward to listen them try to speak like they’re 🤖 totally 🤖 natural 🤖

    So much potential
You have some good stories on the Parcast Network. You voice actors and narrators are terrible. The tone and why they say things sounds like they are telling stories to children. Get some better voice people and if love your stories. The o my one I can tolerate is Survival...and I’m cringing over the voices and tones but, loving the stories. Get a clue! Look back through your reviews.

    Great
Scary stories told in the dark sent me and it was a great suggestion

    Parcast continues to be terrible
Made it partway through one of the Halloween episodes. Continued the parcast traditional combo of “wait is this actually a human talking?” and being vaguely condescending without deep or interesting research. I want to learn something new, not feel like I’m being talked down to by Siri reading a wikipedia page.

    “CE”
The only thing scary about this podcast is the use of “CE.”

Boring and the wrong kind of Creepy
I was looking for something to binge-listen to after finishing Morbid the true-crime podcast, this came suggested to me on Spotify and honestly, I'm offended that this was recommended to me. I tried listening to about 5 different episodes, stopping about 5-10 min in each because they were so boring to listen to despite being interested in what the subject was. I kept switching thinking maybe I just don't like this particular episode but after a while, I gave up. Also the last one I listened to "Season 2 Halloween: The Poison Dress" (wow sounds spooky, love the idea), the narrator was this older guy trying to talk from the perspective of a teenage girl and it just got creepy and kinda gross to listen to an older man give this semi-sexualized perspective of a 16-year-old girl. Like maybe its just me but I dont know women who talk like this. Thankfully I discovered "My Favorite Murder" right after which I can't believe Spotify didn't recommend first.

    Amazing
This podcast is literally the best. So much information and knowledge combined with great production and storytelling. Could listen to this forever

    Amazing
Some people do not like this but I personally love this podcast I play it on my drive to and from work🤣lol😂

    Fakest Narration Ever
I’m really into the subjects that are covered, but it’s almost ruined by the narration. It’s like a caricature of intense news reporters. Be chill.
  • Rudys iTune
Stop pausing the Story to push your Podcast!! It kills the mood!!
One thing that grinds my gear is too pause the story just to push your podcast for advertisement. Totally kills the vibe!! Do it in the beginning and end, I’m okay with that but not in the middle of the story!!
  • Bootsieak9
    Love this!
Great podcast, looking forward to the Halloween podcast segment !
  • CulperJr
    Another Topic?
How about the improbable story of the 1969 New York Mets? I know it’s sports, not hard news, but still one of the greatest sports stories and upsets.
  • sbjones
    So far, so good.
My parents were married August 1969, two weeks before my 18 year old daddy left for Vietnam. They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary & I thought this podcast would be a great way to learn more about that year. I agree with other listeners that the woman’s voice in the first 2 episodes was very annoying, but I don’t hear her in episode 3. Maybe they figured it out!
  • w.never
    Are you kidding me
This narration is abominable. Turned off after 5 min. Is the female presenter even human? Who talks like this?
  • Drea2550
    Pass
Would be great if the hosts weren’t so weird. Over dramatic.Silly
  • hithere85
    Hi
    Stonewall Riots!?
  • Mommadoodle
    The female voice 😑
Her voice is so dramatic. I listened to the first episode and stopped. I don’t care how interesting the content could be, if I can’t enjoy it I’m not listening. There’s another one like this...great, interesting content, well produced, but they do this same thing. She talks, he talks, just like they are reading a script: your turn, my turn. It’s weird. No thanks.
  • cheeseburgers are god
    So many mistakes
The Tate murder episode has lots of errors easily fact checked. The 4 victims in the house were not sitting around the coffee table! And the rope was not out around all their necks. I had to turn it off after that “detail”.
  • j67755
    Great content, annoying voices
Female voice is so affected. Need to take it down a notch.
  • toritoritoritori3
    Just get to the
Point already! Enough chit chat and making listeners go hunt down the second episode online
  • Yam.Fab
    Love it!!!
Definitely recommend it!!! Listening to this makes work go by so fast!
  • Erotica?
    What?
I mean... at least get the dates correct. I’m on episode 4, and they just said Dr. Martin Luther King was shot on April 3rd. It was April 4th. With such a matter of fact type of podcast, you should at least get the dates correct. No feeling / just reporting.

    Such a great idea
Absolutely love this, hope you do something like this again.
  • Entropycat
    I don’t understand
How is this different than listening to the actual podcasts? I already am subscribed to most of these. All it seems is repetitive if you have. Am I missing some main point?
  • Hotsailorette
    omg
loved this please make more like this!!
  • Liquid Diamondz
    Another podcast ruined
Another podcast ruined with computerized narration
  • lauraleyb
    Excellent
The amount of information is splendid. Most of the host are great. Except the host of Ep 12 Manson, she is extremely flat, monotone, and nasaly... I had to give up her.
  • traceylynneva
Great content - less than great narration
The content in all of these episodes is excellent, production is clearly top notch, BUT the narration is like pulling teeth. Imagine two people sitting in front of a group of 1st graders, reading to them incredibly slow, and pausing to show the illustrations to the 1st graders. That is how the flow of these episodes are. It is all clearly being read... super slowwww annnddd drawwwwnn ouuuttttttt.
  • I hate rock bottom

    Too repetitive
Good info but some of the two parters are too repetitive. Seems like they were trying to fill time.
  • bobby the dog lover
    Great storytelling but...
    The voices are very robotic
