felicitypigtailsGood PodcastSeems odd that there are two suspicious deaths involving girlfriends of Ant Hampel, who conveniently has a parent and step-parent that are both judges!! Hummm I smell a rat. I’d like to see a podcast investigating Bailee’s death as well. I hope both girls receive justice!!
-
bbyginNew episodes please!Hi! I hope you all cover the case of Ant Hampel’s latest victim: Baillee Schneider. That would be a wonderful follow-up investigation following Phoebe’s Fall.

Alrab2828Hazel BrownGood podcast and was wondering how we find Hazel Brown’s song from the podcast online?

JanatorsAbsolute ShockerI cannot believe the negligence of the people investigating Phoebe’s death and the obvious pay off of the coroner. I really hope they get to the bottom of this and all these people who’ve been influenced by Antony’s family (Sorry, I won’t use his nickname-so stupid) feel so wracked with guilt they crack. So much evidence and no textbook police work done—it’s uncalled for. I too learned about your podcast from Crime Junkie. Thank you for bringing Phoebe’s story to light. I pray her and her family get the truth and can be at peace over her horrific death. The thought of her climbing around the garbage chute floor with the injuries she sustained—poor thing.😞 I’m so appalled the courts actually named Antony her next of kin over her family!!! How the hell is that even legal?!?!? AND he claimed her death benefit!! I’m so dumbfounded and sick to the stomach over this poor girl’s tragic and unnecessary end. The coroner contradicted himself too!! Anyway, I could go on and on and on. Please do tell us how we can get a copy of Hazel Brown’s beautiful song Ballroom. Thanks for your work on this podcast! God be with Phoebe’s family and friends.

LadyMorrisBizzareI first listened to this story from Crime Junkies who referred this podcast. Ant’s later girlfriend also died, supposedly of a suicide which made no sense with evidence as well. Also, Ant was so particular about having his apartment clean, yet did not find it unusual that there was broken glass, a “shrine” on the bed, blood in several places, and etc...? Hm... I hope this family finds the justice they deserve. A wonderful podcast. Very well put together.

Jdn2009Lost childI had to stop listening to this. There are so many beautiful women in this world. There are times women, all beautiful, are abused. They a afraid for their lives and are ignored. This is a case of a person who seems to be so lost. I have been there but there were expectations of me that stopped me to go off the deep-end. No, having relationships with older men is not DNA passed down. Did her grandmother spark an idea that this lost child embraced?

natzz77Great workReally enjoyed this podcast. Wondering where I can find Hazel Brown’s music, it is fantastic.

supermom19GAEHe did it again... Killed another GFSo in June 2018, this same man’s 25 year-old girlfriend was found dead of apparent suicide. Coincidence? Condolences for Phoebe’s family. This man killed her and it’s obvious just from hearing about the crime scene. In the US, I believe the would have at least been tried for this heinous murder.

FishbowlbabeMonnyZ70One of my go-to podcasts when someone asks for a recommendation long form type. Thank you for covering this story and to Phoebe’s family, your daughter will not be forgotten by so many of us that only met her via this means.

mlelayneThe boyfriend - serial killerI listened to this podcast a couple years ago and have never forgotten about Phoebe. So I recently went and did some research to see if this case had been reopened and read that her boyfriend at the time of her death killed his next girlfriend. Though like this one he made it look like it was suicide. I can’t wait to see these families get justice. Now to listen to this podcast again. I hope you do a season 2.

fanofhorrorBiasedThey are SO ridiculously biased just because she's the victim. She was on drugs, lied to her family and friends about everything, and made unhealthy relationship and life choices. You can't make someone likable just because they were the victim of a crime.

VLearmonthTempoVery intriguing podcast, but I found it hard to concentrate given the tempo of the recordings, like it’s been sped up to fit more in. Sometimes I had to turn it off an try again later because I was only focused on the speed and not the content

Sanspeur67Hazel Brown musicI found this podcast intriguing, compelling, and heartbreaking. I pray the family will get the justice they seek and deserve! On another note, I very much liked the song by Hazel Brown. Please let me know if she has anything available to hear and/purchase. Lovely and haunting vocals. Moved. ☺️

NYC in-house counselVery good true crime podcastPhoebe's Fall is very well-produced, respectful and informative. This young woman deserves better than the sad end she suffered. I particularly liked how this podcast told about her life and relationships with her family, partner and friends. I felt as though I knew her, even though she lived and died half-a-world-away from me. This is one of the only podcasts that led me to look at its website and read about the crime and the area. If you're American, particularly if you're from an urban area, you may be shocked at how relaxed the investigation seems. Not to say NYC and LA police are perfect -they're not- but I left this podcast feeling like the law enforcement covering Phoebe's case could've (and should've) done so much more. Don't the cell phone operators in Australia participate in investigations? The cops could've got a confession from her boyfriend, or at least a lot more info.

green418Stayed up lateThis is a shocking and compelling story. I couldn’t stop listening.
-
parsnip55RivetingI could barely stop listening to the riveting and very sad story of this excellent podcast. I really feel for this family and hope this podcast will help reveal information to clarify what actually happened.

raindownonme78Don't avoid this if you're not AustralianThis was a super interesting case, and I hope they change the manner of death in the future. Phoebe was quite a personality to learn about and her death is one of the worst I could ever imagine. She deserves justice.

AimLRFascinatingThis one is super dark but so fascinating!
-
jewelleryboxRespectfulWell-told and respectful to the victim.

CarojkProfessional, sensitive and humanizingThis is perhaps the best true crime podcast I've heard. Very professional and sensitively done at every step. They pay proper tribute to Phoebe from beginning to end. The hosts are also very careful when discussing scenarios. It's straightforward and clearly on a hunt for justice for Phoebe and her family.
-
Andrea (constant reader)Well doneThe story is told with respect and integrity to the victim, while diving into the details of the case. It is heartbreaking, but so thankful this team did this and brought awareness to Phoebes case.
-
EmilyHoustonGood podcastI enjoyed listening to this and I am very curious about what happened to Phoebe.

Annabells117Phoebe's heartbreaking miscarriage of justiceKudos to the Australian journalists who worked on this podcast. It's well-written and has high production quality. The storytelling is respectful without being overly sentimental. However, it lacks the aggression of American investigative journalism. My understanding is that the laws in Australia (like the UK and other jurisdictions) make it difficult to do the type of true crime reporting that's common in the US. For example, these journalists are actually restricted from publishing certain audio material and they don't have the freedom of speech to point fingers at suspects without risking legal repercussions. An American production team should collaborate on this story in order to thoroughly examine and publish the evidence. Ant Hampel and his family are probably connected to Phoebe's death, if not directly responsible. It is incriminating that this man claimed her life insurance benefits yet refused to identify her body, didn't want to know how she died, didn't want an investigation and destroyed evidence including the SIM card from her iPhone. Further, a garbage chute death likely reflects a mob-style killing that's consistent with the Hampel's drug connections. The international press should pressure the Australian authorities to further investigate Phoebe's murder and pressure the Hampel family to cooperate. Phoebe and her family have not gotten justice and if the individuals involved are unwilling or incapable of pursuing justice, they should at least release the info that's necessary for others to help.

CalwashoreHeartbreakingWas riveted by the story related here. Well done with clear explanations of police investigation and enlightening interviews with many of Phoebe's friends and family. Helpful input from detectives and investigators. Unfortunately, all too late to help Phoebe.
